Great local coffee shoppe with down to earth breakfast options including omelettes, grits, sandwiches and sausage gravy & biscuits.
Walked in my first visit and was greeted by four of the staff before we even were seated. Such a great start to our dining experience. Clean and quaint but not overly trendy. Just good people serving great food with smiles and a fair price for families and those stretching their dining budget.
Great meal and great service indeed! Thank you Central Coffee Shoppe!

A great place for breakfast or lunch in downtown St Pete. This is more of a cafe or restaurant than a coffee shop. It has the feel of a traditional dinner, very relaxed. Food was good, the service was outstanding, I will be back. *My only negative, it's time to reopen the counter service!

Stopped in just after a mural tour with Laura Bradley from Go Running Tours.
Grabbed a breakfast but was hungry and forgot to take pictures. Simple breakfast of eggs, bacon and a bagel.
Service was on point.
Love the sign out front!!

Came across this place looking for brunch this morning, I told my boyfriend that we needed to find a cute place that has some funk lol . This place is so cute the service was fast and the food was good !!! The coffee was delicious. I love how this place had the old dinner coffee mugs .

The staff is amazing and the food is awesome. Fresh cut home fries! Everything is always hot and fresh! This is a well established place for breakfast or lunch, it has been around for many years, which says something about a location DTSP

Fast and quick service. Very good food. Corn beef hash was excellent.

This place was just the perfect place to grab a hearty, homie tasting breakfast plate on Central Ave! The outdoor patio was cute and comfortable, went great with the amazing weather that morning.
And the service here was exceptional! Everyone from the server, to the gentleman cleaning tables (probably the owner) was super sweet, hospitable and make you feel very welcome.
Now last but not least, the breakfast itself was super delicious! I ordered the corned beef hash on a hungry stomach and could not finish my plate. Very good portions. I am also VERY picky when it comes to corned beef hash but have to say this one was top on my list! The potatoes, eggs and toast were made just right. I have zero complaints about the food.
Would definitely come back to try more breakfast items if I'm ever visiting St. Pete againš

It's under new owners but has been there since the 70s. Great spot for breakfast and lunch. Regular, normal adult food that tastes good at a fair price.

Central Coffee is an unassuming diner with a simple, seat-yourself vibe, and excellent food.
Look no further than the house special breakfast (home fries with cheese, sausage, and eggs) or the biscuits and gravy (their country gravy is almost a food group of its own and is the best Iāve ever had!)
Comfortable seating, great prices, and prompt service are the icing on the cake.
I look forward to breakfast at Central Coffee every time I visit St Pete and I havenāt been disappointed yet!

Every downtown should have a diner. A diner is a necessity.
The different types of cafes and shops are fabulous.
However, sometimes there is a need for breakfast and lunch being served in the same place at the same time. Thank you, Central diner!
