These folks are the greatest. A true gem in a small town that would be the same diamond in the rough in any big city around the world. We’re all lucky to have this little slice of buttered deliciousness. On the daily they gather pure hope in the form of baked crumbs left behind by angels from heaven. The only down side, I can’t go here daily, but I try. Don’t know Ben the owner, but by his responses below, he’s fantastic. Wild that folks go to a place often and only post a negative review after many good times, but alas, negative reviews won’t stop this place from barreling into the future with its baked and buttered plow of magnificent belly healing bread. The staff is endlessly kind and helpful. My only real critical feedback, is the continued use of masks & efforts to distance…but who f’in cares, I’ll triple mask, booster twice a month, and whatever else they mandate just to get my hands on the smell of breadcrumbs from heaven. Thanks y’all!

Uppercrust remains the best bakery in gainesville and I'm glad to have gone here before I left.
For recommendations, try anything and everything that looks good. It will probably meet or exceed your expectations

Our first visit was on Saturday and it won’t be our last. I moved here over a year ago and have not been able to find crusty breads or flaky pastries until now. ( I miss my NYC bakeries)OMG. Totally reminds me of the bakeries in NYC and France. The young man helping us was very attentive . I told him we were first timers and he explained all the products and was very patient with us. I drove over an hour to get here and will do it again monthly that’s how good everything was. Also we arrived pretty late in the day and there was still a great selection to choose from. Next time we will try earlier and see the difference

Went for the first time today. I was so in awe of the beautiful pastries and delicious food. The servers are so welcoming and positive that it put me in a good mood for the morning. I am going to recommend this place to my friends! Also, I plan to come back and look at the wines, cheese, and boutique gifts. Such a cute place!

Always yummy. The closest to French pastry I have had outside of France.

One of my favorite places in Gainesville. My wife and I consider it a treat to venture here for breakfast on our off days.

Whether you're getting quiche (all good), pastries, or breads, it's always so well done. Delicate textures with just the right amount of sweet/chocolate/etc. The coffee is actually pretty good too, even though that not what you're here for.

They have a good mix of consume-right-away items and others you can take home as a fresher option than what is available in most grocery stores. Love this place!

Excellent baked goods, my go to spot to buy bread. It might seem hard to believe but you get a lot more bread and quality for your dollar here than at the supermarket. The desserts are always very tempting too. They have good coffee and a nicely curated selection of wine. Very friendly service from all the employees.

Last Friday afternoon picked up 6 lemon tarts to take to a dinner party. The cost was $40.50.
Now, cost price etc.is not of great consequence except, when the cost far exceeds the promised expectations n expensive. Those tarts were not edible. We took a couple of bites n were mortified. The lemon was totally chemical, nothing natural or flavorful in anyway shape fashion or form. The tarts were bitter n unacceptable. We threw them away. I do not know what had happened to the business. It used to be top quality at an understandable price. Not anymore n sadly they have lost me as well as five others.
