Flaco's Cuban Bakery

If you haven't found this place yet, you should! Outdoor seating is great in the spring or most evenings, but if it's too hot or cold, take it to go! Two drawbacks are 1) parking and 2) wait time. So find a spot and grab a brew while you wait.

Best authentic Cuban sandwich around. I ordered the Media Noche.

Ordered ahead of time. When I got there I was told to wait in line outside. I waited for twenty minutes before asking a server if my order was in. They didn't have the order because the machine was turned off. So I waited an additional fifteen minutes on top of the twenty minutes of standing outside for an order that was supposed to be ready right before I arrived.

Food was good. Service could be better if they actually listened to their customers instead of assuming.

My first time here, I may try again in the future.

We love Flaco’s, but be careful ordering delivery and always check your order for accuracy. Food is great when you get what you ordered, but items are consistently missing from orders if you don’t order from the window. Some of the staff will give you attitude when you ask them about it, too.

FAST, delicious food. Husband and I wanted a quick snack too early for dinner. Walked in and grabbed 4 different empanadas, it was $10 and ready to go. Wow! Soo fresh tasting. I'll be popping in just to grab these in the future

Flaco's is what I miss most about Gainesville! There's very few places to eat late at night and Flaco's was always amazing, whether it's 1pm or 1am. They really did amazingly with the cards they were dealt with COVID. I loved their outdoor seating when I came back to visit.

You NEED to try the arepas. Their iced coffee was also super good!
