Best restaurant, manager, environment, and food in Gainesville! I highly recommend coming to eat at this high quality restaurant. The food is amazing and delicious. I also recommend coming to eat here after a good dance at any near by clubs! Flacos is open till 3am and will satisfy you to your needs. The food, establishment, and employees are fantastic! 10/10 Flacos. I <3 danny and flacos

First time coming here and I got 3 tacos. They were unfortunately cold and I let the guy know. He very generously remade all 3 again for me and they were incredible! Great customer service

Flacos has awesome food but the wait is always awful, any day, any time. I went in the middle of the day, no one else there, it took like 20 minutes to make my food. Tonight, Tuesday night, I ordered ahead, and have waited an extra 30 minutes past the pickup time. Flacos I love you but you guys just move so slowly

The food was decent. Definitely get tacos or burritos if you go. The sandwich I got was dry. The guava pastry though was good.

I don't know how old their appliances are that they are using to make the arepas but mine had big chunks of black plastic of every single one of my arepa. As any logical person would, I assumed it was just charged from the press that cooked our arepas but as soon as I bit into it, I knew it was not edible. That is hazardous and when I tried to call their restaurant I got no response and got sent to voicemail. I hope after they see this, they will listen to it and respond. I loved eating at this establishment. I was the first one in there this morning (03/05/2022) coming from Orlando and they seemed very unprepared and honestly, surprised that I was even in there to begin with. No queso or avocado garlic was available. The had JUST OPENED. I would hope they would get there early to have everything prepared needed for the day. Am I wrong or no? I even asked to use the bathroom and they said no because the water was going to be shut off for ONE HOUR and they "needed to save their last flush." Like seriously? That is quoted from the manager (I suppose) with the piercings and no mask while handling food. No one had masks in there (not surprised for the area) but still. I was just taken aback by the service honestly. It's like they didn't expect people to walk in at 11 to get food for lunch and I was crazy for even being in there. Also the rice was stale as hell and my bowl was just subpar overall. Just disappointing. I want a REFUND.

I discovered Flaco’s back in 2020. My wife and I were on a long weekend getaway, I saw they had good reviews, and the weather was perfect (late October). We checked this place out and I experienced the most delicious empanadas I’ve ever had. We drove 45 minutes out of our way to stop there today because we knew we wouldn’t be this close any other time. Their beef empanada is delicious. The pastry is lite, airy, and flakey. The filling is perfectly seasoned. For dessert, make sure you grab two or twelve of the guava and cheese empanadas. They’re amazing and the two fillings are perfectly balanced. It may sound weird but it works. The only thing that will disappoint you is when all your empanadas are gone. So make sure you take several.

Flaco's was a okay. I had higher expectation for the end product. The Ropa Vieja was good in flavor, but it needed some fresh elements to balance out the potent flavor. The restaurant was very understaffed, i congratulate that one employee who was trying his best to keep everything under control.

This is the place you go because no where else is open. The food is okay. The inside itself is dirty (in reality) and looks ultra dirty and poorly maintained (in perception). Staff was busy but still somehow efficient and friendly. Good for college students on a budget; not recommended for anyone who knows better.

I love Flaco's, but i don't think I've ever eaten there before midnight. The food is great, the pastries are great, they're open super late, what's not to love? Just be ready for a wait if you go after the bars close.

Best Pressed Cuban sandwich I have ever had.
Thank you and we will stop here now, everytime we come to town.
