Excellent food, ambiance, service and decor. We came for Sunday brunch and it was one of the best brunches I've ever had. Will definitely be back!!

Italian food is my favorite. I've been to many Italian restaurants and so far this is the best pasta I've ever had. Both my and me partners were amazing. It had unique but not weird flavors and very rich. The stuff was super nice as well

Classic Italian restaurant giving authentic sbd home cooked family business for generations vibes Located in the center of DuPont with outdoor seating around the perimeter and a small strong menu of Italian classics and lots of wine decent prices

Cozy, little Italian place with authentic and delicious food. Staff was friendly and spoke Italian, a bonus in my book! Prompt service. Lovely decor. Just so much to love about this place!

We had the Polpo Alla Toscana, Arancino Allo Zafferano, Linguini ai Frutti di Mare and the Branzino alla Griglia. The food was delicious! The restaurant was clean and spacious. The wine recommendation from the server paired well with our meal. We will definitely be back!

Christmas’s Lunch with the Italian in DC, nice place, good food and fancy music. Domenico has great ideas to grow the business. Good luck.

Visited this weekend for a quick lunch. Not many people there at the time I visited. The staff seemed competent and eager to serve. The food was ok. The bread with olive oil was amazing. I ordered the ravioli and it was good and had nice butter flavor and was cheesy, but for the price I would've like to see more...I spend $40+ and left hungry. Ambiance was good. Sat outside and the blankets on the chairs made it feel luxurious. If you near and want above avg Italian stop in, but I'm sure there are other places around with better/more food.

I ordered the BRONZINO IN PADELLA CON ASPARAGI Pan seared Mediterranean sea-bass fillets, Sorrento lemon, dill beurre blanc, poached potatoes, and roasted beets purée to go. When I got home I was so disappointed with the fish, which was mushy and not very flavorful and the beet purée was missing from the dish entirely. I did not even finish this $38.00 meal. I only wish I had taken a photo to share.

It’s always a pleasure going to La Tomate and thought it was about time I left a review with them. They recently brought on a new executive chef and have a new menu. I tried and impressed! Top favorites so far - the calamoro arrosto (calamari)- delicious and linguini cozze e vongole (linguini with clams and mussels) was one of the best I’ve tasted in DC. Their prosciutto from their prosciutto bar has been my go to before the chef transition and is still on the menu...excited to see what they are doing in the near future. 5 stars in my book. Keep up the great work!

Truly, what a beautiful experience from the beginning to the check... I cannot say anything negative about this place as a Californian and living in DC for the last decade I have to say this Italian spot is elegant with the service and the food is good. High quality and over my expectations from seeing this restaurant in the past from the outside. Thank you. 💌
