La Tomate

At La Tomate tonight, wonderful mouth melange. From the salad of watermelon, yellow beet, basil, balsamic & mozzarella, to a divine meringue of apple & pistachio for dessert. I should have taken pictures, too! Lovely & tasteFULL. And while there, look around Connecticut Ave to consider how we can preserve the charming streetscape of historic buildings.

Nice quiet little place. Window seats all over and it's in a great location. The pork medallions are quit delicious

Food was good, I would suggest viewing the menu prior to going. Somewhat unique italian offerings.

The atmosphere, decor, staff, and drinks are top notch!

Servers are not polite and careless. It is really hard to order.

Overpriced and the service was subpar. The bread tastes good but they are very conservative with it to the point of you feeling like you are taking the last piece if you ask for more. Waited for almost an hour to be served. Go to Olive Garden

Food is good. Service is good. But the front desk lady “greeter” is a nightmare to try and reason with. Had a reservation and we specified we wanted an outdoor table when we walked in I told her we’d like the empty table outside. She said it was reserved and that we had no specified outdoor seating in our reservation. I told her we had and showed her the reservation she said someone else had it. After 30 minutes of sitting at the restaurant the table finally filled up. Terrible first impression.

Best fish around and excellent service. The fresh green beans and garden peas were so delightful too. Loved eating outdoors in the sun on a crisp, but sunny Winter day. And the blanket at every table to keep your legs warm was such a nice touch. The menu is small, but there is definitely something for everyone who loves pasta or seafood.

This was my first time here. Service was horrible. I’ve worked as a server for 5+ years so I am aware of this industry. It was a group of 5 for a birthday. Very chill. We never knew who are waiter was, we had 3 separate people visit our table. No one came to our table when we sat down for a good ten minuets. Each time we order drinks or our meals took quite a while, which was surprising since they weren’t busy. We sat with empty drink glasses for 20 min with no one coming back to clear our empty plates (sat for 15 min all finished). Thought this would be a good place but service was terrible. Maybe an off night? Bummer for them, they could have made more money from us, we wanted to drink more
