Went to try their cookies and creme doughnut and was very disappointed. The bread was very doughy, and the doughnut itself was very dry. The cookies that were attached to the doughnut also had a terrible taste to it. I wanted to try their nutella doughnut, but they had runout of it, even though it was only noon. I do not recommend this place at all!

I love love love the texture of these doughnuts: slightly chewy and as flavorful as good, risen bread. What I don't care for are the super sugary toppings, which are creative and beautiful but just not for me. But when the sweet tooth hits, I come here for a fix. Bonus: coffee's good n' strong here.

They have some good and interesting flavors but doesn't make my top five doughnut places. The only thing that really detracts from the doughnuts here is that the filling tastes like it's instant pudding. I have gotten doughnuts from them several times and have been happy. They just aren't as good as they can be. If you have the chance to try them please do.

Have been a patron of DD for 4 years and since they transitioned to an automated cashier system the customer service has declined to a new low. Very disappointed.

I love stopping into District Doughnut because every time I do, I know I'm going to have a great experience and eat an even greater doughnut.
All of their specialty donuts are fantastic -- I love the brown butter variety and also enjoyed the creme brûlée doughnut, but my favorite items from this place are the doughnut holes and the cinnamon roll.
These doughnuts are a lot better in terms of taste than most other places I've been to around here. I like that their menu rotates so each season there's a few different options to choose from in the case.
I've been to both of their locations but this is the one I've frequented the most and I've never been disappointed.

As a doughnut lover, I stopped here during my visit to D.C. after seeing this place advertised in a YouTube video. I wasn't disappointed. The seasonal flavors were awesome, and so were the "regular" doughnuts. I'm a cake person when it comes to doughnuts, as I think too many shops focus on making decadent frostings instead of a good cake. District Doughnuts has a great cake (or foundation), in my opinion.

OH MY LANTA! The one of a kind donut shop. First off I really enjoy the way they run the business, they make a certain amount of each if their donuts before they open. Once they sell out of the pre made amount they stop selling the donut, once they sell out of each donut they close for the day. If you want a good donut get there early because you never know when they will close, their donuts are unique and always spontaneous. Their orange juice is to die for, I could go there every day just for that. Their place is very small though and doesn't offer a lot of seating so it's always packed in there, they have outdoor seating but good luck trying to get a table. With them always being busy that should show you how well they do and how great their donuts are, when I'm in the DC area I always have to make a stop there.

On a family trip to D.C we went and got lunch and then went to District Doughnut for a doughnut. They did not have an overwhelming amount of choices and overall the doughnuts were really good.

Delicious doughnuts, and I love gluten free Fridays- finally fresh donuts for us gluten free peeps. The only complaint is the price (~$4 for one donut!), but they sure are tasty.
