Every visit has been a great experience. The team who works here is outgoing , helpful, and engaging. On my first visit, ran into Meg and Angie here and glad to see they are now working herr. Also really happy with the large food offering for a cafe and the vast array of caffeinated and non caffeinated drink options. Added bonus is the open vibe in the space, cleanliness, a nice touch of design, and especially love all the window exposures. Never feels dark and depressing in there, and no dirty old cafe furniture you typically see in other cafes !

Great coffee has arrived in one of New Haven’s previously underserved neighborhoods! Located in the heart of Science Park, directly across from the Winchester Lofts, Fussy Coffee is adjacent to the Farmington Canal Trail making it an easy walk or bike ride from Yale’s central campus, less than a mile away. The space is light and airy with plenty of seating indoors and out. Of course there is coffee — hot and cold, espresso, cold brew, pour over. And tea, seasonal drinks, as well as a selection of beer, wine, cider and alcoholic mixed beverages. But there is also food with choices for everyone from vegan to omnivore—breakfast all day (eggs, crepes, and more), sandwiches, bowls, salads, Belgian frites, as well as several kinds of baked goods. Staff is friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Service is quick. Prices are in line with downtown coffeehouses. Fussy Coffee is a great place to work, meet, or simply relax. There is ample parking for bikes near the exit from the trail, free 1 hour on street parking, and a garage if you want to stay longer.

Excellent! What a wonderful place. So modern and neat. Coffee was great and the food was delicious!

We went to the soft opening of Fussy Coffee today and we were impressed! It is the place you go for breakfast or morning coffee, stay for (a knock out!) lunch while you relax and do your work, and stay for an expresso-infused happy hour to “relax” even more 😉 It’s eclectic and beautiful and you need to go and experience it for yourself! I saw locally sourced ingredients on my tour through the kitchen and had a burger for lunch that was off the charts! And obviously, the #coffee but also the beautiful outside space (which is great for kids!) to relax a bit while you bite or sip. Can’t wait to go back!

I usually make my own pour overs because I’m particular about my coffee. That said, Fussy definitely has my trust when it comes to coffee, both in black and in flavored forms. In fact, they have some of the most creative and delicious coffee-based drinks in town, in my humble opinion. The baristas are great and nail it every time.
Two minor concerns: First, the food is a bit pricey. Second is the hours. The Winchester area lacks good restaurants and bars, and Fussy closes at 4pm, which I think is a missed opportunity given that they have alcoholic drinks on menu.
Overall, I do rate Fussy highly, and would strongly recommend to anyone in New Haven to come here, even though it’s a bit out of the way.

This place is literally a Manhattan-grade coffee shop. I commute often into NYC and take plenty of meetings in coffee shops - rarely do I experience such good coffee, food, staff and overall environment. Will be coming here regularly!

I’ve been here a few times I’m the past 5 months. First time was great, the coffee was superb, food was delicious (other than the boring oil drenched avocado toast) then each time after was worse and worse of an experience. I ordered a large iced hazelnut coffee and got a small black coffee, sent it back and this time they got the large iced part right but put amaretto instead of hazelnut, beyond annoyed I sucked it up and drank it anyways. Went today and ordered a large iced hazelnut latte with almond milk and it literally tastes like water with the slightest coffee notes, no hazelnut flavor at all. I paid almost 7 dollars for what seems to me is just almond milk with a teaspoon of coffee. Also, their prices are going up like crazy. I know it’s a cool place that people want to go to so they have to raise the prices to keep up, but it’s a shame their letting their quality go down at a rapid rate. Disappointed is an understatement

Delicious coffee. Tasty and healthy snacks/small plates. Amazing fries (try the cajun dipping sauce)! The matcha tea was ok; it had a grassy/chlorophyll taste. Friendly and fast service. Recommend adding some vanilla sweetener to the matcha tea to overpower the green flavor. Recommend adding a numbering system for the tables with outlets. Without structure, it becomes a friendly rat race for patrons seeking tables with outlets. Overall, great experience. In the words of General MacArthur, "I shall return!"

Crisp modern half wall art gallery, half delectable flavor offerings not tasted elsewhere in New Haven. A uniquely fresh palate of Asian and Hispanic fusion offerings made in house from authentic ingredients not found at your local grocery chain. Where else can you get a touch of Bread fruit prepared sweet OR savory?
Some times for quiet chill when you need to push out those extra few minutes of a presentation writing prep on your digital devices, or a pleasantly packed house where you can strike up conversation about the spinning vinyl records and the "time when you first heard this song". Great conversations, great food, and a drink pick your poison coffee, tea, tasty sodas, or beer. Meet new folks and new foods at your local neighborhood Fussy Coffee house. I did!

1st time here and I actually enjoyed the atmosphere with natural light and different walks of life. The chai tea was amazing and breakfast tacos were perfect. Looking forward to see what the fall brings.
