Great place to read on a lazy Saturday, and the staff are helpful when it comes to bean selection for home.

The chicken and waffles was DELICIOUS!!! That alone will bring me back!

Awesome place to kick back with a coffee and... I love the vibe and atmosphere

$4.30 out the door for a large coffee that's about Maxwell House grade. The price isn't that shocking considering the location and their target audience. Don't be fooled. This is not a fancy, high end coffee shop, it just looks like one.

I ordered an espresso beverage and a Thai Chicken bowl. The rice bowl was mostly delicious (except for the coconut rice which I had to throw away because the flavor/texture was off). Despite being generally pleased with the chicken bowl, this is a coffee shop and the coffee was not palatable at all. I took one sip and wanted to spit it out. I ended up throwing the rest of it away despite paying $4 for it. I would give the rice bowl 4 stars and the coffee 1 star if I could.

I used to love this place, but they are now rude and unwilling to accommodate simple requests like substituting or adding a side of toast with a meal. Food and drinks taste great, but I will not be returning if they can’t accommodate reasonable requests, especially from loyal customers who used to dine there weekly.

I ordered a “poached egg over arugula with EVOO on toasted brioche”. I got a single hard boiled egg on a massive brioche bun. Atrocious egg to bread ratio. Why wouldn’t you make it with 2 eggs? I paid $6.50 for something worth $0.35. I waited 20 minutes for this garbage. The yolk was completely solid. So underwhelming and disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone.

Wonderful addition to New Haven’s brunch scene. Amazing fries! Great assortment of coffee drinks including several single origin pour overs. Great brunch and lunch options. Wonderful setting and atmosphere. It does get quite crowded on the weekends so you might have to hover a bit to find a seat.

Fussy is such a great coffee shop. I have only been for breakfast, but everything I have had there has been wonderful. Their french toast is absolutely unparalleled, and I cannot recommend it strongly enough! Their espresso is very smooth, and I have yet to have a bitter cappuccino there. I have heard second-hand that their lunch is also quite good, but I have not yet had the chance to try it.

An absolute gem. Their coffee? It’s excellent, of course. But what is truly remarkable is the quality of Fussy’s food and libations - so delicious! Definitely more than a “coffee shop.” Staff are friendly and skilled. and Fussy is definitely a staple in our little neighborhood. People gather on the lawn and at the tables and benches outside - Fussy is a hub of community for us. 😍
