Fussy Coffee

Great waitress/waiters in a great atmospheric restaurant. Breakfast burrito great. They let me use bathroom when I don’t buy anything (when walking home sometimes)! That doesn’t happen in new haven a lot! AND…the bathrooms don’t have a ten digit code to get in like Starbucks does! (Starbucks? Are we launching nukes or going to pee?) If I want to drop a quick deuce I will attempt also. fries are great too. Covid 19 handled nicely! Young women wear 3/4 shirts with belly button rings. I wonder if that’s required uniform ?

THIS IS A REAL REVIEW AND NOT MADE UP LIKE OWNER STATES. I AM ONLY WRITING THIS BECAUSE I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AND FELT LIKE SHARING IT.
When I asked for just a regular coffee light and sweet they looked at me like I was crazy and pointed me towards coffee in a dispenser.. After tasting said coffee I almost lost the breakfast I had ate earlier that morning because the coffee tasted like morning rain due that a bird had bathed in. My guess would be it was coffee that was left from the day before because it wasn't even warm. Avoid this place like the plague since you could buy coffee that's better and cheaper from a Bodega. This is not a scam as they replied because I 100% went in there and made my own coffee which I pumped from a dispenser. Only time I ever went in there so maybe they changed their setup recently but I most certainly am telling the truth. It's typical when a place of business gets a bad review they call the person a liar or a scammer. Every review I've written has been 100% factual. I don't enjoy writing reviews at all so I only write ones where I have bad experiences and there have only been 5 recently and fussy coffee is one of them. Nothing personal I just believe on the day that I chose to go in a drink their coffee something was most definitely wrong with it.

Love this cafe! The breakfast and lattes are really tasty and there's so much natural sunlight. A great place to study or catch up with a friend!

Great spot, nice staff, great selection and care for their coffee drinks and food! This place has a great vibe, was there for the 2/3 anniversary party, cheers to many more years!

**Edit again … prices jacked up again, $30 for a salad and coffee… $5.10 just for a latte. Wth? They are just not that good… this is a desolate and windy block and there are regularly shootings on this road. Go elsewhere. 03.01.23

Beautiful place, come for the environment if you have plenty of time. Decor best in New Haven. Lovely seating and tables, and some nice art and plants. Coffee average, not as good as Blue State. Staff variable; guy stands around playing on his phone and looking cool while multiple people waiting for coffee.

Super delicious foods. Friendly people. Perfect spot on the rail trail go grab a mid ride snack.

Great lunch spot. Internet cafe vibe. Younger crowd. Soup sandwich combo was very good.

I’ve been there a couple of times for brunch. Both in busy and quiet days. The coffee & food is good but the fries on the Two Eggs plate is never fresh. They should be a little bit more “Fussy” about their fries 😁

Great space to sit and work. Wonderful light environment with an always incredible play list conducive to getting stuff done. Delicious changing drink and food prices at reasonable prices.

I'm very fussy about my coffee, and at Fussy Coffee I had an absolutely delicious light roast espresso. If you're looking for a great third wave coffee shop, look no further. Also, last but not least, great food options.
