a lovely bookstore with kind staff and great coffee

Alex Fridley

A really cute store with lots of hidden corners, new and used section, a coffee bar, lots of seating and great sections with more than the usual bookstore selection, no complaints I’ll be back tomorrow!

Neat little book and coffee shop with new and used books. There was a shelf at the front with a specific book recommendation from every staff member, which was cool. Coffee was pretty good.

Cute little bookstore but came here specifically for a pick me up. Got the Great Expectations and couldn’t have been more disappointed. I felt like Pip when he was jilted by Estella and Miss Havisham. It tasted like frothed milk with a slight hint of Earl Grey tea. I let it steep for some time hoping that it would improve but it did not. My girlfriend got a Mr. Darcy and it was rather underwhelming as well. I wanted to like this place but their drinks were a let down.

A very nice bookstore. Not the biggest selection, but they have many new books. They have an excellent puzzle section and the coffee bar is very good. Would highly recommend the East of Eden coffee or anything with violet in it.

We come here at least once per year when we visit. I have always loved everything about this store and this week they just exceeded every possible expectation. On a whim they made a beautiful cake and it is delicious. So grateful for their kindness and fun spirit.

Love the pastry and coffee here. The pastry is fresh in the morning. Get a ham and cheese croissant. Their cookies (all of them!!!) are to die for. Shop the gifts and books. They have beautiful Christmas cards.

Seems like a small bookstore upon first sight and when you go in, there is so much more to it! The coffee and baked goods are yummy! I loved all the arrangements of books and many gift options. Sweet place to visit.

What cute, rustic, and friendly place to chill, plenty of unique things. While staying in town we frequented the store good coffee, and when you bring your own cribbage board it's a fun place to play cribbage up in the loft.

Love independent book sellers.

The extra cost and sometimes delays to receive special orders are worth having solid merchants keep up our towns economic vitality.

And grab a specialty drink and home made bakery item while perusing!

Amazon can't do that or create the ambiance of an intimate, homegrown bookstore.
