1st time here I was a tad skeptical, I have the worst luck with fastfood ANYWHERE. Everything seemed SOOO expensive ( then again who hasn't gone up in price) hoping this place was better then the new, REALLY EXPENSIVE , thai place IN Salida. It was super fast, so again I thought...of crud.. She probably just microwaved some shituff n put it in a container. I was taking it to go. I went to my vehicle , n to much surprise it was PHENOMENAL!! SO MUCH BETTER then the new Thai place in Salida... We actually had VEGGIES S IN OUR chicken fried rice. ( Yes..the new Thai place only gives u a cple pieces of chicken n a whole container of tasteless rice nooooo veggies!) The egg rolls n ragoons were super tasty , fresh. It only cost 37$... Compared to $71 .. same fucqing order,,, HALF THE PRICE!!! Some people say..u get what u pay for...I lucked out. I'll be returning. Good job for being the older store with still.. better product n prices.

Ordered beef and red curry paid $17. Overpriced, small portions with very little protein and overcooked. Potatoes were undercooked. Atmosphere was "greasy diner" and service was non-existant. Unfortunately, cannot recommend.

Hadn't eaten here before, but always passed this place on my way to Monarch Mountain. Finally stopped in for drunken noodles after a long ski day. Excellent food and excellent service! Definitely on my list now for best eating places in the Salida area. Highly recommended!

Great pad thai, my daughter loves the egg rolls. Tea was a nice surprise. They really care about what they are serving. Wonderful to find in the middle of the mountains.

I'm disappointed. After all the reviews I was expecting more. The Tom yum was lacking that tartness I love so much. And the larb moo was, well, just boring - it lacked shallots, crushed rice, and cilantro. And I asked for "almost Thai spicy" and it came to me with almost zero spice.
Disclaimer, I've lived in issan and prefer my foods issan style - the food from here seems more like what you would find in a bankok hotel restaurant.

Really good Thai in an unassuming location. Why go to a fast food place when you can support this local business on your way to monarch pass?

Was skeptical to stop at a roadside restaurant, especially since it claimed to have authentic Thai food but depicted a big hamburger and ice cream on the outside. I ordered the veggie pad thai and it was not bad. The place has a weird vibe to it though and is largely disorienting. The portion was a little small for the price it came at, too. Left a little hungry. The views from the place are nice, the sunset was really lovely.

So happy we tried this place. Good thai in the middle of nowhere, yes please. The place was clean and there were additional items on the whiteboard in addition to the menu. They were selling some stuff in addition to the restaurant. Not 100% sure, but you might be able to get some Asian cooking ingredients here too.

Ate here a few years ago while passing thru Poncha Springs on the way to Monarch for the night. We received food and service that were both excellent. At the time the location was just down the road but has since moved.
Our food came out quickly, and the flavor was excellent. We ordered a few different items, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew,& Spring Rolls. Everything was great, and we have a lot of Thai restaurants back home in San Antonio.
We were all pleasantly surprised, finding food this good in such a small town. But then to finish off this experience, the older woman serving us and conversing with us treats the 3 of us to ice cream.
Excellent customer service, excellent food, fair prices. This is the true meaning of an Oasis, as its in a spot where you've been driving for a while and start looking for somewhere to stop and grab a bite to eat.
When I pass thru here again, I will definitely stop again.

Edit: someone at this restaurant tried to rip me off for $130. It was so bad I had to get the police involved. I guess someone needed a $130 dollar tip. Food is great, just use cash.
