Very good coffee, great vibe and shop indoors. I had the curried chicken salad with croissant and a latte and they were incredibly delicious. Great indoor seating and shaded patio to enjoy the outdoors too! I also loved the music they were playing, specifically one of my favorite bands, The Oh Hellos!

Stayed in Pagosa springs a couple weeks ago, and probably stopped at Root five times. This place was amazing, and honestly some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.

Truly one of the best cafes I've been to anywhere in the US. From the classic, lever-style espresso machine to the outdoor focused theme and products that line the store, this place is warm and inviting while you enjoy an exceptional cup of coffee. The food is also delicious and the staff are super friendly!

Absolutely love this place been going here for years.. but… their oven has been broken for a month. So they have no available items on their menu. Settled for the breakfast tacos, the only food item available besides pastries. While driving to wolf creek I nearly crashed my car choking on the dry breakfast tacos.

Ps. Loved meeting the local DEA agent though. Made for a great atmosphere.

Used to love this place! Over the last month have attempted to go twice, and their stove isn’t working. Also, their lids don’t fit their coffee cups. When we asked for a better fitting lid we were told “they don’t fit well, here’s some tape.” $5 latte with a taped lid? This place has gone down hill and we will be heading elsewhere from now on. Pretty disappointing.

WOW! Amazing service, sweet servers. Cute shop with wonderful coffee, got americano, latte, both excellent! The strawberry lemonade and the Orange coconut cold drink were yummy and refreshing after walking around on a hot day. Another cute place to stop if you want some coffee, local shopping or a cool refreshing drink! They sell shirts, gifts and stuff

Excellent baked goods ( chocolate chip pumpkin bread and kolache korner). Average coffee , cappuccino.

Went here today during the 4th of July parade and they were crazy busy with all the foot traffic, the line was well out the door and down the stairs towards the riverwalk. The whole team was working super hard and they had clearly prepared. They had a great ordering system and were making all the drinks and food super fast, and it was all delicious. I've always liked this place but I'm especially impressed how well they were able to handle such a large crowd. Rock on Root House 🤘
