Stopped here with my SO and had no idea it was Inside a private middle school! However we had no issues and it is in fact open to the public 😂 we had their lavender blueberry tea with tapioca and popping blueberry Boba balls. YUMMY! highly recommend you stop by when you're craving some Boba.

Had a quick lunch of a sausage Quiche & some Boba tea. Food was amazing, tho the boba could have seen better days, as it was pretty lukewarm, but the Butterfly flower did taste amazing! The art gallery next door was a perfect end to our day in Durango 10/10

What a special place. Such a nice and welcoming local business located in the bottom floor common area of the Smiley Building. The highlight of Smiley Cafe for me has to be the Boba Tea, which includes traditional Thai Boba Tea (my favorite) but also more, for lack of a better word, American-adapted drinks like the Smiley Sunrise which includes Club Soda and popping fruit bubbles.
I highly advise coming here if you're in the area (which you most likely will if you come to Durango), just mabye not around noon unless you want to be subjected to the flood of High Schoolers that come here during Open-Campus lunch.

Delicious gluten free baked goods! The muffins are out of this world.

This cafe is in an old school building that retained all the charm of the original building. The floor in part of the building has the original basketball court floor. The bathrooms have vintage "toilet" signs. And there's cool art everywhere. Hard to explain but it's really charming and unique.

Also, I got gluten free cupcakes with cactus/succulent frosting. They were beautiful and surprisingly moist and tasty. I've had my share of disappointing gf baked goods and these were not that.

A neat place! The coffee cake muffin was great!

The best cafe in town. I've been waiting patiently for good boba and finally found it, and done right! There's a danger of me spending way too much money and time here but that's ok. Great atmosphere and prices.

I am new to Durango and just found this place because of an appointment in the building. Wonderful place. On just my third visit the woman that appears to run the cafe or at least work most morning shifts had my order down, as I walked up she asked me if I wanted my hot chocolate. She has a great energy about her and is super friendly with all the customers.

The food is simply outstanding. I have had the Chicken Tikka on back to back days. I love spicy food - I eat serranos and even ghost peppers off the vine - thus, most over the counter food tends to be a bit bland for me. Now this was not hot like I would make it, but it was wildly flavorful and, I believe the average person would say it had a nice kick.

Comfortable seating, friendly atmosphere, great staff, great drinks, great food. By the way, the entire building runs on solar powerful, which is incredible, and there are two or four stations out front where one can charge their electric cars. This is the most Durango Building I have been in yet, and I love it.

The Smiley Cafe is a very chill spot with excellent baked goods and a variety of drinks. I can personally attest to their ginger and fig scones as well as their London fog, both of which were fabulous! Great hospitality and you’re sure to leave with a smile on your face;)
