Cute homey little spot. The staff was really sweet and the food was good for the price.
I knocked off a star because management needs to be more involved. There are only two girls working the whole cafe ON A SATURDAY. One is also on her third day of training. If they are short staffed then management needs to hire more people to help their staff or come down themselves and help them out. It not only affects the service and quality provided to paying patrons but it puts unnecessary stress on hard working staff. It didn’t help when the kiosk wasn’t working and no A/C running on a 85 degree summer day.
Great job to the two young women literally doing it all. I hope your management steps it up soon.

Excellent coffee place to meet up with friends. My chocolate crepe tasted really good and enjoyed my lavander italian soda. It was totally differnet, floral and refreshing.

Went to R&R this morning and, for the third visit in a row, they didn't have the menu item I wanted. When I politely let the owner know that it was frustrating to make the drive to his restaurant only to be told that they didn't have what I wanted, he curtly replied that he was short staffed and that I could get an apron on & go to work back in the kitchen if I wanted... NOT the kind of response I wanted! I realize many restaurants are short-staffed right now, but being rude & sarcastic when speaking with customers is not OK. Also, if you aren't able to consistently provide an item, I suggest you take it off of your menu.

Used to be our favorite Sunday spot to go however after today I may be finding a different spot. 45 minutes for food is insane. Staff was unfriendly today and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to be there today. After the 45 min mark I finally went to check on our food and it was dying in the window. I waited a little longer figuring someone would be bringing it shortly. Nope wrong. Had to go up 5 minutes later and ask about our food before anyone noticed it was there. Food was tasty as usual but was luke warm now that it was sitting there.
I hate writing reviews like this but maybe will bring some attention to today's issues as many other customers were sitting at their tables complaining at the wait.

I visited today on a whim after googling food places on my way home. The food was great (pepperoni crepe, breakfast sandwich, and the spinach berry salad were today's selections). I am not a coffee drinker so I cannot speak to that aspect, but I really enjoyed the purple people eater drink as well. I didnt have time to sit down and eat today, but I enjoyed the homey atmosphere while I waited for my food. Service wasn't slow, but it wasn't fast food quick either (which shouldn't be expected in my opinion). I did find it to be a little pricey, but it was worth it. I look forward to returning again soon to try some of their other options!

I have mixed feelings on the place. The food is usually pretty good and I love the sober Russian coffee. The service is hit or miss, in the past five times I’ve been here, service as declined worse and worse. The pros, the food is good, the atmosphere is nice and the people are nice and friendly. The cons, a little pricey, and the service/lack there of is the biggest issue. A couple observations, I’m not a fan of the online or kiosk ordering system, I understand being short staffed, but I would rather wait in line than use these things. Speaking of which, I’ve been told three separate times to order from the table or from the self serve kiosk, but I often sit here and see others place their order up front? Why exceptions for some, but not everyone? I have a one compliment and one suggestion as well. I really like the younger kids helping out and running things, they are polite, great with customers, and what a great way to instill good work ethic at a young age, I love that! On the flip side, I notice some of the kids don’t do anything and just sleep or play games on the couch and cushioned chairs, which is fine, they’re kids. Would be nice for customers to be able to utilize that area though as it’s a prime spot with the fire place and a nice place to read and enjoy a cup of coffee, hard to do though when it’s taken over.

Update, I added an extra star because I appreciate the owners response, running a business is tough. Hang in there I’m sure good help will come in time.

I begged them not to do it, but they didn't listen. They brought out their homemade apple pie and are selling it by the slice! Oh well, disciplined dieting is just a fad anyway, and this goes perfect with their coffee.

Also, the staff goes out of their way to ensure that your drink meets or exceeds your expectations. So I recommend carving out some time in your schedule and savor and enjoy the experience

On a Wednesday morning it was not very crowded. The mushroom & spinach omelette was excellent. Has very Interesting and delicious cold brew coffees. Very nice “country decor” to match the Black Forest community. Very nice staff and owner. Everything is self serve except delivery of cooked items to table. The automated ordering system is a bit inconvenient. A bit expensive at $33 for 2 omelettes, 1 coffee and 1 cold brew, but typical now of most breakfast places. Highly recommend.

Seems like a hidden gem tucked away in the middle of the forest. I had a breakfast sandwich and my wife had the parfait which were both delicious. Coffee was excellent and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional even for being youngsters. I only wish they were also open in the afternoon so we could come by and study in the nice atmosphere, but we are definitely coming again!

Super cute and such a nice place to be able to get some work done on the computer or even read a book. Kind staff, great atmosphere and my new favorite place!
