I live at Tahoe and have placed 2 orders for tele gear in the past 2 weeks and have received excellent service on the phone while ordering and really quick delivery. Highly recommend Cripple Creek Backcounty.

They were swamped but made the effort to get me the right skins for my old skis in time and with short notice when my old skins broke. They seem to be in business to provide a superior service and help people. What a concept.

Friendly staff. Very patient with a novice Midwesterner 😂 Went above and beyond to accommodate me with my purchase of a Splitboard. Had a failure with one of the products and they fixed the problem and handled the warranty claim for me! Couldn’t be happier! Thanks cripple creek! 👍🏻

By far the most knowledgeable full on backcountry team out there, period. Extremely customer friendly, responsive, attentive to detail - they dont push product but know what’s tried. Their passion shows in everything they do. My go to place for anything skinning/touring/backcountry...period.

I had a great experience at this store purchasing my first AT setup. I appreciated that they are dedicated to backcountry skiing. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Just used a new pair of Scarpa Aliens RS boots for a 6-day spring tour on Oregon’s volcanoes. Fantastic ankle flex in walk mode, just like a hiking boot. And so light! I had discomfort with toe jamming in a size Mondo 30 with a narrow 11-11.5 foot even after two rounds of heat molding with toe cups. Not sure why the Intuition liners didn’t loosen up around my big toe. Otherwise, my feet were comfy after 6 long days with the boots out of the box. The one- step upper buckle system works like a dream, providing downhill boot stiffness for a collective 25k of vertical on spring corn on BD Helio 95s.

These guys have whatever you need for the backcountry and take the time to get you the right set up. Brandon in the Carbondale store was super knowledgeable and fun to work with. I can't wait to get out on the new gear.

Ordered a pair of AT bindings. The order was shipped that day and arrived in 2 days. The bindings were the best deal I could find. Will definitely use cripple creek again.

Cripple Creek has been incredibly helpful as I begin the transition from tele skier to an Alpine touring skier. They worked hard to listen to my ideas and offered great advice with excellent follow-through.

CCBC is the premiere backcountry skiing store in North America - both online and brick and mortar. These guys set the bar for stocking the highest quality touring, uphilling, rando racing, and full on ski mountaineering gear on the planet. Their shop service is trusted, timely, and high quality. The knowledge of the staff comes from real experience and a full understanding of the sport. In addition to their products CCBC’s community outreach - slideshows, presentations, avalanche discussions and races - create a truly great gear store that has fostered and grown a robust uphill skiing community. Six stars would be more appropriate!
