By far the most knowledgeable full on backcountry team out there, period. Extremely customer friendly, responsive, attentive to detail - they dont push product but know what’s tried. Their passion shows in everything they do. My go to place for anything skinning/touring/backcountry...period.

Just used a new pair of Scarpa Aliens RS boots for a 6-day spring tour on Oregon’s volcanoes. Fantastic ankle flex in walk mode, just like a hiking boot. And so light! I had discomfort with toe jamming in a size Mondo 30 with a narrow 11-11.5 foot even after two rounds of heat molding with toe cups. Not sure why the Intuition liners didn’t loosen up around my big toe. Otherwise, my feet were comfy after 6 long days with the boots out of the box. The one- step upper buckle system works like a dream, providing downhill boot stiffness for a collective 25k of vertical on spring corn on BD Helio 95s.

These guys have whatever you need for the backcountry and take the time to get you the right set up. Brandon in the Carbondale store was super knowledgeable and fun to work with. I can't wait to get out on the new gear.
