Cripple Creek Backcountry Carbondale

My wife and I are new to ski touring - not sure where to even begin. The Cripple Creek team (Doug and Mary) were great... patient with our questions and thoughtful in their responses and gear recommendations. Quick check on prices compared to online, and Cripple Creek was very competitive.. Looking forward to visiting the shop again.

Lost my backcountry boot inserts and couldn't find them on line. Contacted Cripple Creek - they helped me find the right replacement through another vendor even though they didn't have them in stock. Super helpful and answered my questions within minutes. Ended up buying crampons and ski leash because they were so responsive. Top notch outfit!

I've never been to the shopfront but did purchase something online. Overall communication was excellent and delivery times very fast. Response times to my questions were also super quick and they were real humans responding which makes it all that much better.
Also my package came in a used box and newspaper, which I think is the way to go, not because its cheaper but its directly recycling!

I was hoping I'd have my new bindings within 5 days. They arrived in 2 days. CCB had the lowest price, and the people here are very knowledgeable. Really fun, too! No messing around, though, when it comes to getting product out the door!

I bought a Dynafit jacket which was too big. The mix up was my fault, but they worked with me and made the switch to the new size in a seamless manner even though I'm in Canada.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that has your back when you need it! Was looking for some Marker Kingpin ski crampons and couldn’t find the right size anywhere except for Europe. With a big trip the following weekend, I called the shop and they were able to get the gear shipped out in time. Really stoked for the backcountry skiing community to have a specialized shop like this that has the gear you need and can get it to you when you need it. Will definitely be shopping here again.

Great experience- I am totally impressed with CCB Carbondale's customer service! Jewel helped me fix a broken AT boot, even though I didn't buy the boots at their store, and I don't live in CO. This is what separates Cripple Creek from the rest. They are clearly committed to helping fellow skiers. The next time I need new gear, I will be calling them. Thank you!
