For backcountry skiing, this is the go-to place. They have a great selection, reasonable prices and very knowledgeable friendly and professional service. The Carbondale store has opened up a clothing wing to go with their gear.

These guys are terrific. I am 50, live in Ohio, and only ski a week or two a year. I’m not a hardcore back country guy, but love skiing, telemarking within my age and fitness limits. They worked with me to create the right equipment package for my situation, and did so with wonderful service from their entire team and with reasonable expense. We worked through some kinks (more educating me than anything else). Terrific service, support, and very fair on pricing.

I've order a few hard to find items from Cripple Creek and they always seem to have them for a reasonable price. And it arrives very quickly with excellent tracking! Always great to support a small, local company too!

I had a great experience with Cripple Creek. I had trouble with a defective binding, and, Cripple Creek worked with the manufacturer to get me a replacement. They were very helpful and timely in their response and got me skiing again on my new NTN set-up quickly.

Best purchase experience ever. CCB did an amazing job of helping selecting the gear I needed. They were very mindful of my budget, needs and experience. No hard sell involved. Very knowledgable sales staff and great pricing. I never write online reviews but was motivated to here. Highly recommend buying (again and again) from CCB.

Recently I got a complete tele set up with 22 design bindings, voile skis, and pomoca skins. The folks at the store were super helpful in helping me decide what skis to choose and wrote up several invoices as I made minor tweaks to my order. Once the gear arrived the mounted and cut my skins super quick and I was out skiing in no time. I absolutely love my new set and wouldn't have committed to such a big spend without the help from the cripple creek.

I have worked with CCBC on 2 full touring set-ups. I live in California and have never been to their shop, but every time I call/email I get prompt service and am treated as if I was a customer in the store. Customer service and knowledge is unbeatable.
