Great food, very friendly service. Did I mention all the roosters? Everywhere! Awesome little place to get breakfast. The bacon by the way is delicious. Like no other bacon I've ever had

We were in BV over the weekend and like to stop at small restaurants instead of "chains". This is the 2nd place we were disappointed in. While we had a little wait for breakfast, it was not bad. Most everyone wore masks and practiced social distancing. Inside the seating was spread out. We ordered eggs, toast, sausage... simple, huh? Took almost half hour! Others came in ordered Eggs Benedict and more and were served before us! Won't return.

Breakfast very, very good. Great service. Everyone quite friendly.
4 stars only because a lot of flies buzzing around. A "regular" even killed one with a menu and a waitress asked quite loudly, "Did you get him." A flyswatter is definitely needed. I would go back though.

We have been to this restaurant many, many times. Our favorite breakfast place anywhere, not just BV. Unfortunately our latest experience was not pleasant. They must have lost their cook during the pandemic shut down because their current cook can’t. I ordered 2 eggs over medium- came almost all the way cooked. I don’t eat carbs, so ordered extra bacon along with the bacon with the meal - all came cremated. I mean I have never been served such severely burned food. I sent the extra serving of bacon back (tried to eat the other) and when I got the replacement bacon it was almost as over cooked. I like crispy bacon, but man, this was unreal. (My husbands bacon was the same) We are going to give it one more try and I will update this with the results and up the stars if things improve. Please get a new cook!

Very noisy, took a long time to receive our food. When asked how long our food would take and suggested we can leave if they haven't started on our meal. The waitress said, the owner will still charge you even if they haven't began to make it. So basically, forces us to sit there another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food. I see many 4 stars, but I see no reason for them. Please be cautious when going there.

This is a wonderful place to go. the environment is wonderful the people are great, the food is cheap and good and the waitresses are just absolutely wonderful. A very delightful place. I love this place so much because the food is like homemade food it's not in a bag or processed food it's all made by hand and that's why I think I love most about this Cafe. If your by that way I suggest to stop in and have a bite to eat and see for yourself

Was famished and got a breakfast order to go due to the COVID. Coffee was good and hot. Rye toast was good even without jams or jellies provided.
As a biscuits and gravy connisour, it was naturally an opportunity to partake.
It was a mistake.
While the biscuits were goodly, the gravy lacked everything that makes a white country sausage gravy palatable. Honestly, it tasted like cream of mushroom soup sparsely laced with canned sausage bits. Perhaps the gravy was from a can. It was not good. I couldn't finish it. Each bite made me cringe a little bit more. Each bite made my pallet awash with thick lukewarm condensed soup-esque mush with porkish flavor.
Companion got a vegetarian omelet and enjoyed it.
Support local businesses and give it a try. I am sure other things on the menu are good. You'll be glad you did.

Quite possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had. Horrible service and equally horrible food.
To begin, when we arrived we found that the seating arrangement was a list you put your name on and basically have an honor system amongst the other customers to not cut in line. Staff would come over when a table opened up and asked who was next. Why they have that and not a host to keep track of the customers when they clearly have an excess of staff is beyond me.
We were seated at the same time as another couple, and when our waitress came over, an older woman with long blonde hair, she abruptly asked, "Wait, which of you was seated first?" Before I could answer she took off to the other table. Okaaaaay? When she returned to take our order, I wasn't exactly happy. To be honest I had just gotten over a nasty flu, and was physically miserable. But I was not rude. I simply told her my order without a massive smile on my face. In response, she became visibly irritated, and treated us horribly for the rest of our meal. No kidding, cold shoulder the rest of the time. I ordered the scramble with fried chicken, and my husband the biscuits and gravy. It took over 40 minutes for our food to come out (while I watched tables that were sat after us get their food), and when it arrived my chicken was inedible, and my husbands sausage gravy was CLEARLY pre-processed and not made in house. Our waitress never came back to our table since taking our order, and other staff provided our check. I have worked in the service industry, was a waitress, and have NEVER treated a customer in the way that we were treated.
Don't waste your time.We love Buena Vista and have found many excellent restaurants in the area. One and DONE with Roosters Crow. Never again.

Food was good. However the service was not great, we came in and sat down and didn't get greeted. After much time waiting, I had to get up and tell a waitress we have not been helped she just looked at me and walked off. After much more waiting around I had to ask someone else, finally got to put in an order. Mean while waiting for food, the original lady I asked for service that walked away.... She was dragging her feet loudly through the restaurant, so so loud and rude, and distracting. I also have to get up and get my wife a straw because it was not offered, it would of been dinner time before I had gotten offered that anyways and we were there for breakfast. Needless to say I will not be back.
