Such a neat place to have a drink and relax or eat. The Sanctuary has great drinks and service. The food in the Friars Fork is always delicious! Have been there several times and plan on going again.

The food was okay at best. Portions are a good size which is great since the prices are higher. Some bits of my food were cold while others were piping hot. Food lacked alot of flavor and far as the atmosphere it was okay besides the fact they sat us at the table right in front of the restrooms which was not appealing at all. Definitely worth trying at least once but thats it.

Great cafeteria Italian. No really, the surroundings are nice but the food is sub-par. Much of it is restaurant-supplier stock. Cardboard pre-cooked grilled chicken slabs used in the Marsala. Tiny arancini floating in marinara-tastes like Sonic fried cheese sticks. Pre-cooked, BARBEQUE brisket slices converted to a cardboard mess over Farro. The farro tastes alright. Over-cooked spaghetti served with the marinara spooned over top-not combined to bring the flavors together. Meatballs apparently made from ground beef, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and dried parsley. Caprese salad with NO basil. I've had better Italian food at Fazoli's. Nice servers, nice atmosphere, bur seriously, the food is not that great.

The Friars' Fork restaurant and "sanctuary" is a great place to eat. They have done a fantastic job making the old Episcopal church into a bar and restaurant. Food and service were both awesome!

A James Beard Award nominated eatery in scenic Alamosa, Colorado you say?
Oh yes! Delightful lunch menu, smartly crafted cocktails.

Drove 4.5 hours with a friend just to eat here. Worth it. Incredible food, service and reasonable prices. Outstanding.

Came all the way from Cincinnati, OH for this james beard nominee! food was some of the best i’ve ever had. drinks were delicious. dessert was also amazing. all the staff was incredibly welcoming and sweet. the owner is incredibly down to earth and quick-witted. The Friar’s Fork hands down should be on everybody’s bucket list.

A great find! Was not expecting amazing Italian food in Alamosa but this is it! And the building is beautiful. Wine, salad, ravioli and dessert—mwah! Chef’s kiss.

Very unique. The food was the best Italian food I've ever had. A must place to eat.

Great food had the Italian Brisket, so tender and unique.
