This was our first time here, and its amazing! Located in an old church, owners Denise and Nelson have transformed one side of this church into a very relaxing and warming "speak-easy" lounge with great drink choices that are top notch delicious, and very yummy charcuterie trays for you to nibble on !! The other side of this 2 - part building is being transformed into a restaurant...cant wait to see what the decor inside, as well as the menu will be like! Stop by and wind down with an amazing cocktail in a very relaxing atmosphere, complete with very unique and very original repurposed seating and decor....truly incredible!!!

So glad that this location is finally open. Now we have more choices of eateries in the Alamosa area. The location is unique as it was created in an existing sanctuary. The food was Italian style and customer service was excellent. The prices were moderate and the wait time was acceptable. We shared a small dessert which was plenty after our good portions of dinner were served to us. The ambience was awesome as it pictured friars and such on the walls. They played music to accompany the atmosphere. Too funny that we sit next to a priest and my husband is a chaplain his self. LOL you are served complimentary bread and salad with your entrees. Parking was a little tight but I saw that there was some overflow parking in the area.

This place is amazing! Very tasty cocktails at a reasonable price for high end spirits. Staff is friendly and take great care of you. The owner is an Alamosa Native bringing her culinary and cocktail expertise from far away travels back to the valley for fun and elevated yet humble experience!

What a great addition to Alamosa. Great atmosphere! Wonderful food and great service from our server. He gave us a perfect amount of attention. It was my birthday and the server brought me a birthday card signed by the whole staff. What a sweet touch. This was our second time eating there food. The first time was Togo and second time we dined in both spot on.

Boozing in a former church is one thing but add the vintage furniture, outdoor area, and humorous artwork and you got a great combo. Really enjoyed the mescal, served traditional with orange and gusano powder. Service was prompt and friendly to add. Can’t go wrong at Friars Fork.

As a visitor, I loved stopping by for a latte and also had a delicious dinner here. The decor is great; photos of fat friars merrily drinking. The stained glass windows also adds a neat look.

We're from the DFW area and when I tell you trying to find a restaurant like this in Alamosa Colorado was difficult... words cannot explain. Coming across this restaurant was heaven sent, the bar is small and quaint and decadent; the drinks took me back to a past I've never visited and the interior was very exquisite. The restaurant was as equally impressive as the bar. The building has a history, and that history is echoed in it's interior design. As someone that is an interior designer; I found this place cozy, warm, and very elegant (exactly what we were looking for). The food was incredible and I will definitely be back for more, with an even bigger appetite. Thank you to the wait staff and the bartender for an amazing last night in Alamosa Colorado. Your friends in Texas! Lv

Fantastic meal in a beautiful setting with exceptional service… what more could we ask for?! The bread is literally like fluffy pillows, warm and ready to be dipped in EVOO, balsamic & coarse salt. The three-cheese ravioli was amazing… and the homemade lasagna left my husband wanting more (it was that good). We ended our dining adventure with scrumptious tiramisu & a promise to return the next time we’re in town. This place is a must for travelers who want delicious food in a comfortable, interesting setting (such a cool place). Don’t miss it!

Perfect ambiance for a chill Friday evening. The servers were super helpful and very knowledgeable. Definitely try the mezcal, be adventurous and open to their variety of cocktails. Excited to see this spot grow! Can’t wait to return for morning coffees soon.

Had dinner there tonight 12/31 and it was delicious! Charcuterie board appetizer, Caesar salad and the Italian Brisket. So good. Love the ambiance, it's classy, great service, chatted with Denise, the owner, and guess what? Looking forward to eating there again. Best spot in Alamosa.
