Laid back, relaxing place to grab breakfast. It seems like a.place where many college students go to study as well so it can be really quiet at times. The service was great. The students that work there didn't seem bothered or annoyed or anything. Smiles all around which is always good. The food was good as well. They also have a piano people cn play on. However, because it was so quiet i didn't want to play it Haha. Would i come back?sure if im inthe mood for a latte or something. I'm not a huge breakfast guy so🤷‍♂️. Anyway check them out but be sure to walk in to the correct café. There are many in the same block. Give us a follow in our travel insta @thehungrynomadz

We had a breakfast burrito and coffee, the ambience was fantastic, a lot of plants. Staff were very friendly and the food was good. The burrito was a little plain.

This is the best cafe in downtown SLO! This cafe has it all; Amazing lattes; Tasty food and pastries; A lovely garden in the back; Considerate and wonderful staff; Overall wonderful ambiance and vibes! I’m personally quite particular with how the milk in my lattes is steamed, and they get it every single time! Trust me, whether you’re grabbing a quick drink, need a new cafe to study at, or just want somewhere in downtown where you can unplug with a bite, you won’t leave Linnaea’s disappointed!

They make a great cold brew iced coffee and they have for-here glasses to drink them out of. The espresso eggs are just ok. You can taste that the olives and green chiles came from a can. So I'd skip them. I really liked the layout of this place though and the patio out back.

I've loved this coffee shop since I was 11. I'm 34. It's always been great!

We had espresso here once and thought it was good but really bitter, tried drip coffee on the second visit, really weak coffee that tasted like cheap grocery store coffee from a can. When I brought the order on the second trip back they didn’t offer to make it right by providing other options so we just left them there. The staff are nice but lack experience and no one seems to be there to supervise. I appreciate the one employee wearing a mask but if your mask is so loose you have to keep pulling it up constantly it really doesn’t do anything for anyone as well meaning as it might be. Wouldn’t come back here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and overall atmosphere especially the backyard area and the koi pond. The downside to this was the absolutely undrinkable beverages that had me gagging. Went here twice, the first time the iced tea was so weak and bitter it tasted like grass and dishwater. Decided to give it a second chance, my friend tried the matcha and asked for it extra sweet, it was bitter, gritty and undrinkable GARBAGE. The employee’s seemed inexperienced. Right after I ordered the employee said out loud, “how do I make this?” Overall, did not pass the vibe check.

The quinoa salad was very tasty and fresh. The grilled squash and sweet potato was delicious in there. The fresh cilantro really makes it a great summer salad.

You cannot beat Linnaea’s for charm, atmosphere, and of course delicious food and excellent coffee! Clearly this is a local institution that goes WELL beyond the usual corporate coffee haunts. DO NOT MISS the amazing rosemary shortbread cookies or famous carrot cake! Everything here is made with love and an attention to quality and detail. I make sure to stop here on every visit through SLO!
