Authentic Portuguese dishes, well executed. Great server, Pablo

Relaxed and upbeat vibe with attentive staff. This was my first time for Portuguese cuisine so I can’t attest to its authenticity, but wow, great food! Enjoyed spicy shrimp, delicious sardines, crunchy Brussel sprouts. Found the fritters interesting but ultimately not worth repeating. The polenta with a crusty finish was terrific, the accompanying mushrooms less so. Overall a great adventure in dining.

We chose small plates to share and it was perfect. The octopus was my favorite. The baby clams were also terrific. Thanks to the advice of waiter we didn't over order so we enjoyed every dish. Left full and satisfied.

Cool little Portuguese place in Noe Valley. Chef-owned, very friendly. Tasty food, both tapas and entrees. We enjoyed cod fritters, shrimp popovers, branzino, octopus, polenta. Among the four of us, I think had every wine on the happy hour list including sangria. The fish was very nice but had too much kale.

Came to this place on a Sunday evening for a special dinner with my family. Four of us, 2 adults and two kids, 7 and 10 yrs old. My kids were dubious since they had never had Portuguese food, but I was interested in seeing what this place had to offer.
I was greatly impressed by the decor of the restaurant, and how relaxing and homey it feels. We came around 6:30 pm and were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. We loved our dishes that had just the right level of the sea flavor. My kids loved the salt cod fritters. We also ordered the Piri Piri chicken, and the seafood risotto. My youngest appreciated the kids menu grilled cheese. I loved the salty goodness of the risotto and all it's underwater creatures that were part of a great dish. My compliments to the chef, the staff and the only Portuguese restaurant in the city.

Love this place.
Chef Telmo does a great job bringing tastes from the motherland over to the western side of the US.
Though not being totally traditional, the flavors respect the original Portuguese dishes in ingredients and overall taste.
Good wine selection too.

We visited for the first time for the dinner and Fado Night. The food was amazing, service awesome. Show was great. Wine list was impressive. Had the pleasure of meeting the chef, he even made sure to call us a taxi to take us back to the hotel. Not only was he humble, but he was kind as well.

The food and service was excellent! The wine selection was great. Another plus; it was not too loud as other SF restaurants have become. We had a great dinner and we enjoyed our conversations. We will be back to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. Glad you are in our neighborhood.

Amazing! The food here is incredible. Traditional Portuguese dishes, usually with a gourmet twist. Everything we order is always delicious and well prepared, the only caveat is that many dishes may surprise you when they come out if you're expecting a strictly traditional style, so it may be best to ask your server if that's what you're expecting. E.g. the bacalhau a gomes de sa is pretty traditional but the arroz de Pato is actually served as little cakes that are breaded and fried.
