This sucks! The restaurant shows open. The sign makes you go all the way up by the stairwell just to find is closed. Please take the time, decency and respect to your customers to update your business hours! Such a bad review!!

Wonderful place! Great food! Great service! Great drinks! We went on a Saturday night and it was very busy. We were a party of 7 and had to wait for about an hour to be seated. El Techo is truly worth the wait. All of the food was delicious and unique but the Shrimp on a stick was definitely the best. They were very sweet and brought us a complimentary flan with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday. We will be coming back for sure!

This place felt very covid safe. The booths were well divided and I feel like they chose appropriate seating to space people out. The servers were very attentive while also distancing well. The guacamole was great. The elote was good. The taco deal at happy hour was good. Both salsas were really good and complemented the tacos well. Really enjoyed the margarita with mezcal. Plantains had a nice crisp. I’m not a huge fan of the strawberry yogurt side with the plantains

Great place to have brunch - yet my experience wasn’t good. Ordered Poze and they didn’t say they were out until the rest of my table was almost done eating. Manger and server tried to make it up yet was over it. It’s too busy and more quality control is needed to run a fast paced environment.

This is a restaurant that feels like you're trying to get into a night club but it's worth it. They have limited space on the rooftop so people have to line up when they've hit the mad number of guests. Although the wait is annoying it's worth it.
The food is a cross of Mexican and Peruvian food. They make stiff drinks and I've never left without a good bus, a full stomach and a smile on my face! The sunset and skyline is so beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful even though they're normally slammed.
The bathroom lines can get long so if you're one of those people that wait till ya-goda-go, get to it early. It's also kind of cold up there so bring a jacket and a scarf!

Nice bar, pretty solid margaritas and Palomas. Small bites aren’t too bad. It’s a bit pricey but it’s also one of the only rooftop bars in the city

Fell in love with this place. We were in town visiting from Chicago. From the hostess which helped seat out party to our server. Everyone was lively and helpful. The food had great flavor from the meat to the toppings. Drinks were tasty and well balanced not just drowned with liquor. Would recommend for anyone coming out of town looking for a good spot that's open late to eat.
P.S To those that don't know Spanish, El Techo translates to The Rooftop. So it had a good view and weather with the open style tent enclosures

Great little rooftop spot for food and drinks. We ordered the spicy mango dish which at first I was skeptical about because who orders mango slices?? I was amazed at how much flavor in addition to the mango that dish could have. Definitely changed my mind on mangos.

I went here with a group of friends one night, and they have such a great vibe! They have a bunch of booths with heated pillars which make this the perfect rooftop to hang out at on a night in San Francisco. The lighting is also really good, and you smell some amazing fried food as soon as you enter. Chips and guac/salsa seem to be rolling out of the kitchen like crazy! We ordered 2 cocktail pitchers, and both were good. They did have a lot of ice though, so they started getting watered down really quick. The line was pretty long too, and it took about 45 minutes to an hour for 6 of us to get in. Overall a good place if you're looking for a chill night and not something wild.

Great food and drinks for happy hour! Definitely order the chicharrones when you go! The view is lovely if you go on a non-rainy day.
