I had the best time at El Techo! Definitely the best rooftop bar in the city with food! Anthony, our host, gave us a prime table facing the skyline so we could catch that sunset view. Claudio was also super friendly and suggested some of the best dishes! He also kept making sure we were good and if we needed anything.
Quality food and quality service! I’ll definitely come back here with a group of friends next time. Definitely make a reservation prior so you don’t have to wait in line downstairs. It’s a popular spot, so it’s super worth it!
The best Margaritas I have ever tasted especially from a restaurant/bar. Happy hour rocked! The Pollo was addictive it was so delicious. Love the view of the city as it's a rooftop. Took a friend for his birthday to Happy hour and we both truly enjoyed the experience. The only down side is it's upstairs and the residents can be rude if you take the elevator even if you have a disability. Otherwise it was a lot of fun!
One of my favorite places in the city. Amazing rooftop views!! Great Latin music creates a fun ambience. Food is deeeeelish! Expect to pay city dining prices but definitely worth it! Everything is good here!
Overall, we really enjoyed our drinks and tapas here. The outdoor patio is awesome, with absolutely incredible views of the city. The cocktails were very well made and reasonably priced. The tapas were delicious!
My biggest downsides are that they are very protective, to the point of “look down their nose” exclusivity about who gets in and where you can sit. If you don’t have a table reserved, you’re going to be quite literally rubbing elbows at a standing bar with a hundred other people crammed into the small space for Happy Hour folks. Tack on needing to climb four flights of steps to get there - not at all fun with a bellyful of cocktails - and I was left with a few frustrations that notably diminished our overall experience.
We were visiting the city and met up with friends for brunch here. The entire restaurant is on the rooftop, so be prepared for a few flights of stairs, but the view at the top is amazing! Such a great way to view the city.
The food itself was all very good and came out fast. We had fried plantains and ceviche for appetizers. The plantains were my favorite. The ceviche was pretty good in my opinion, not the best I’ve had. I personally would like more lime in it. I ordered the blue corn huaraches which was simple but really good. I would definitely come back here again when we visit!
Pleasure rooftop space in the Mission District. We went on a Saturday early evening and luckily no waiting line. The ambiance was spectacular and the music was fun. The Mezcal Paloma was delicious and all the food ordered was tasty with its unique flavor.
A cool rooftop tapas bar in the Mission District of San Fran. We went on a Saturday evening and there was a line waiting to get up. After 10 min, we were seated at a small two top by the bar. A local told us to order the chicharones and they did not disappoint. Neither did the drinks, which were all made to order with fresh ingredients and juices (spicy paloma pictured). Service was a little slow, but they were quite busy.
limited menu options but an amazing experience and beautiful view. pork & fish tacos were to die for!! don’t forget to bring jacket because it can get chilly on the rooftop.
If you are Mexican or looking for Mexican food I will say stay away from here !
But if your are someone that is looking for good drinks and hang out, it’s ok place ! The services is fine, it has fun environment, it is family friendly, it has elevator for strollers, they don’t have kids menu tho.
But you can totally come and have good time here !
