Nice atmosphere but if you’re vegan I can’t recommend it. We got served a few dishes that ended up heading back to the kitchen because they had dairy. Cool spot tho.

Super delicious tapas! Drinks were good as well. Staff was friendly and fast. Atmosphere was nice, a kind of classic modern. Lighting was perfect for me.. That is, it was dim.

The food was good and atmosphere was cool. Nice view. However I have a medical condition and asked for the elevator but the host out front told me it was not working. Also he wasn't that friendly from the beginning. 👎 so after climbing flights of stairs needless to say I struggled the entire way up. We get seated and low n behold the host comes out of the NON WORKING elevator to get a plate of food! As a customer I don't appreciate that kind of service at all. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth about it. However my friends complained to a other gentleman that worked there he was very sincere and apologized for inconsiderate treatment I received. He also gave a pitcher of margaritas which was very thoughtful and I appreciated the offer. However I still feel that the other guy should not have treated me that way.

Place was great, food was good. Ordered our food and it came out 5 minutes later. The views are amazing, but go when it’s not windy. It does get cold at times due to being in the city. Food was pricey as we spent over $100 just on two ppl and four items.

Came here to have dinner. Got lucky with parking, you will have to find street parking. Reserve a spot before coming to avoid waiting for a table. Also you have to walk about 4 flights of stairs to get to the rooftop, no elevator. The food was really good I had steak tacos and elote corn. The service was ok, extremely busy so they do their best and it's fairly small so you won't wait too long for your waitress or order. The view is nice and it has a good ambiance. The one thing is their selection of liquor was minimal. All in all it's a great place for a nice evening with good food and a nice view. Also bring a jacket because it can get windy up there!

Used to go here a lot pre-pandemic. It's still a great place to grab food and drinks.
Just like before, my only issue is the layout. It's not the most comfortable, the tables are too small, and there is not enough sun shading. But it's understandable to maximize the amount of people they would like to serve at a time.
What's new is the web app you order from by scanning the qr code on your table. You can pay for what you ordered or pay for your table.

I got dinner here one night in February. Plenty warm and sheltered even being on the roof of the building. Great Latin American food with plenty of veggie options! Would recommend.

The view is the best part of this place, but the rest was mediocre. The seating is very tight; the tables are small and very close together. The service was slow, and since the tables are small, they would just push the plates onto the table, almost spoiling things several times. We got the 1.5 lb chicharron de carne plate to share. The rub they use was mostly sugar to the point you could see the sugar granules. Way too sweet. The rest of the food was also sweet and not that good. Maybe just come for a drink.

The food here is very good but it's really a place best appreciated from the standing tables. Reservations are available but these are for the seated tables. The view from the fourth floor looking out across the mission to downtown San Francisco is what you come here for. They have some really good drinks, I recommend the Hummingbird or the Pina Colada. Both were delicious! For food, I would stick with the tapas style dishes like the beef empanadas. We could have ordered two orders of those and been quite happy. The cochinita pibil was succulent and delicious. I'd skip the elote, I'm not a fan of frozen corn in any form. The chips and guacamole were really good. They do a pork belly sandwich which is a little heavier on the bread. In my opinion. The pork belly is spot on delicious so if you can get it by itself, I suggest that. My number one tip is to bring a sweater or a light jacket no matter what time of year you are visiting. This is an open restaurant on the top floor of a building. It cools off quickly at night.

One of the best rooftop brunch spots in San Francisco. I LOVE El Techo. The space is cute and it’s not pretentious at all. The food and drinks are always 💯💯💯. I’ve never had a bad meal nor a bad cocktail. I wish I could buy the salsa and take it to go... I think it’s that good. Today’s brunch was excellent as always. From a COVID perspective, I appreciate how this team is so considerate with all the right precautions.
