Hilltop Diner

Nice staff but outside of that the rest of the experience was poor. They can't seem to poach eggs. The replacement I received was over cooked dry omlete. They seemed to forget to check on tables with more then 3 ppl.
Others at my table also complained about under seasoned and overcooked food. When getting ready to leave it took an extra 15 min just to get boxes and the check paid.

The food was great. I had pancakes, country potatoes and eggs. The plate came with 3 pancakes, they where so big, that I could only eat 1. Katherine was my waitress and she was very nice and friendly, very attentive. Joe the owner came to my table and introduced himself and asked how the food was. He was really nice. The 50's music that plays in the background is great. Thumbs up 👍 for this diner.

Hot club knuckle sandwich is amazing served with crispy fries and a crunchy pickle spear
4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich was delicious and perfectly toasted
Loaded potato soup was well seasoned, creamy, and they brewed a pot of coffee just for us late at night.

(Pancakes and eggs were being inhaled, only comments so far is 2 thumbs up)

Our waitress Maddie, very sweet and attentive. My husband had the Pot Roast only served on the weekend! He loved it! I ordered a small portion kids menu french toast We had a great time there are arcade games in the back and we had fun playing while we waited for our food. It was a fun lunch!

This is a cute spot! Open and roomy and as soon as you walk in you smell the care they put into their food.
It's a very clean restaurant with good food and friendly, attentive staff. The milkshakes were lovely and delicious, they even toasted the marshmallows on top of the s'mores shake.
The pancakes are ginormous. Definitely stop here if you're hungry.

We went to Hilltop Diner for Thanksgiving lunch. I was very impressed with the delicious food, big portions, great service.

I've been here before, great food since it opened.

Only been there once. Salad bar is well-tended and high quality - but their pastrami is tough, oddly sweet, and just plain weird.

Going to withhold judgement til I've tried a few more menu items, but the soup and salad bar are definitely worth your time.

Always a good experience here. They have a salad bar and different huge baked potato options.

Amazing food amazing atmosphere the staff is really nice the manager even walks around and asks you how your food was and make sure that you're happy with it. We had some burgers I had a chili cheeseburger and it was the best chili burger I've ever had the chili was delicious. My husband had a breakfast Burger which she also enjoyed was very happy with my daughter got a chili cheese dog and said she loved it and she is very picky person. Will definitely go back the next time we are in Redding
