EDIT: Please see FTH's response below to my complaints. I really appreciate their response and transparency and am sympathetic to the problems with the supply chain right now. This is a great spot in Redding and I will fully edit my review when I have more time.
I have enjoyed this place for a quick and relative healthy and moderately priced breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a few years now. The downtown location is my favorite atmosphere and I do like the drive through's selection of quick eats as well. Lately however I've been noticing changes in not just the menu items (which, additions are great and removals I'll deal with although the black bean burger was a great veggie burger and I'm not even vegetarian. Seems unfair to reduce veg options for those that are.) but in the ingredients used. The Jamaican Jerk chicken bowl was one of my favorites, however in my most recent order what had once been evenly spiced strips of grilled meat and whole half slices of grilled pineapple had changed to lesser quality chicken pieces coated in too much spice and what definitely felt like canned pineapple bits. They used to have a wide selection of breakfast pastries and maybe I've just been going at the wrong times but it seems like they're phasing those out in favor of some bundt cake push. Those don't look appetizing to me but I'll reserve judgement since I haven't had one. Other items are gone that I miss too, like the cowboy breakfast bowl / biscuits in general (this was a while back). I feel like they are expanding and trying to cut costs, and the pandemic probably didn't help, but I'm not super happy about it if the trend continues (honestly, mostly just the tiny chunks of canned pinapple) This was a decent spot in Redding and I've never had a bad experience with the service or anything like that, I would just hate if the quality continued to worsen.

The food was excellent, had the Cobb salad, lots of crispy bacon, chicken, blue cheese, one of the best I've ever had. They also have great beer on tap, which you can take to go (thanks pandemic?). All the staff are nice too. What a great place ☺️

Surprisingly, I had not eaten here sooner after living most of my life in Redding. They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers and other plates for lunch which are priced in line with other restaurants in the downtown area. Staff was very pleasant when I went, interacted with regulars, and had there was ample outdoor seating. I will probably return now that I've had it once.

*UPDATE- still overpriced and not worth it for the sub par quality. Pay only 2 dollars more for the best burger in town at Norms Palo Cedro. I almost put in an order here again and was reminded the ridiculous cost paying $11 for the burger alone and 4-5 dollars for the fries. “We went Al-a-carte on our menu because we had a lot of customers who did not want side items with their sandwiches.” Is the biggest fake excuse to up charge extra lol.
The food was good for the old price but not nearly for the new. Raising it up to $15 after tax for a burger and fries is just not worth it. Doubt I’ll be back with the fam at that rate.

So disappointed. Went in for the first time and the person behind the counter said she would be with us when she is done doing inventory. We waited. Then someone said they didn't like their salad so she left again. Mind you we were the only ones in line.
We left. Keep that up and people won't make the trip. We went to The Root place instead. Very nice there.

So disappointed. I use to love this place. I was not going to go back but thought I would give it one more try. Ordered a bowl. It had so much sauce that it was dripping out of the container. The steak was so over cooked and burnt I could not chew it. There were very little edamame, I want this for the veggies. Then they also sent the wrong drink. I will post photos of what I though I was getting and what I got

So disappointed in the direction of this restaurant. I used to love going here, but the menu changes too frequently, and the prices have skyrocketed. I don’t enjoy paying Bay Area prices for Jefferson State food.

One of my families favorite restaurant and coffee shops. All their food is prepared fresh to order. Their rice bowls are my favorites on the menu. They gave my family free meals after the Carr fire destroyed parts of Redding in 2018 including our home. We will never forget that kindness and will always bee a customer. For deserts the small mini pies are the best.

I LOVE their food! Can get pretty busy and seating is limited but that's to be expected when the product is so good. I get something different everytime I'm there, never disappointed.

I ordered two orders of the exact same thing, a Caesar wrap with avocado to go. They messed up on one order making it a salad instead of a wrap. Then we leave and realize We were charged for the avocado but didn’t receive it on either order and one order had a wooden skewer was wrapped inside one of the wraps. Not sticking through it. Just wrapped up along with it.
