I was there when 2 men were visiting the area and town and decided to take some pictures outside . They were told they couldn't. Who are you to tell anyone what they can or can't do in a public area ? You don't make the rules or tell people instructions. Shame on you

I have been two times there. The atmosphere reminded me Europe, but i would suggest to do little changes with service and decorations... And as well more fresh goodies to serve. The owner is friendly, good place. But she need constant changes to keep the customers back. Her pastries are the best. She just needs to keep consistency and some great changes. Overall not a bad experience

So this was my first time to this place and I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. My girl and I were in the mood for some coffee. My girl ordered a cappuccino before I asked the lady behind the counter if she could make me a cortado. She said yes and then proceeded to fill two paper cups with espresso and steamed HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM. Yes. That’s right. She even showed us that she was going to use it. Sure, I’ll try anything once and maybe a dash in a cortado might be good. But no. She filled 3/4 of the cup with heavy cream. Excuse me but if we order two different drinks we should not be getting the same thing….our drinks were the same and way too rich to drink. We threw them away. Also, the woman before us ordered “a mocha but light on the mocha”. What does that even mean? This place is not for the intellectual coffee drinkers like myself and my girl.

Sure it is Mira’s coffee store, brought from Pacific Palisades with her impeccable eye for Italian pastries and excellant coffees

Extremely rude and unprofessional to strangers. Would NOT recommend.

We stopped here on Valentines Day but quickly left. They had a very nice and vast display of pastries. Such a selection we asked the person at the counter for a menu. No menu. Instead she hastily ran thru all the items. When J asked her what a particular pastry was again she said I just told you’ She than walked away and went to the back. We were so turned off we immediately left. We were excited to have a nice pastry and coffee but it quickly soured. Who treats their customers like this?

Beautiful decor, friendly staff and amazing food. Me and friend managed to take home 2 exquisite banana & coconut deserts for our wives. Lovely lady who served us takes huge pride in her selection of bakery sweets but also the menu consists of soup salads and hot food. I know where to go next to me I’m in the area.

Proceed with caution!

If you also suffer from "I need to order a little of everything " like I do, this is not the spot for you. For those with more self control or just deeper pockets, this is a the ideal spot for picking up freshly baked items. Very sweet Yugoslav owner will help you pick out some favorites or items she recommends based on your preference.

We ordered about 7 pastries and the bill came to $100. I usually venture to Portos bakery and am able to get 5x the amount of pastries with a much smaller bill at the end. This is a local bakery with a beautiful selection of pastries and chocolates...so pricing is a bit more on the uppity side. All of the pastries from the Lemon Tart, chocolate dessert, to Apple pie were exceptional. No complaints on taste, I just concur with many other reviews that would appreciate a straightforward pricing list as to avoid the jaw dropping Bill at the end.

This place is a local breakfast/brunch spot located on El Paseo. There is plenty of street and public structure parking lots.

Great selection of pastries! Just pricing is a bit high. With many other bakeries nearby, I may venture elsewhere when my sweet tooth aches once more.

Best coffee. locally owned and has a "Euro cafe" feel to it. owner works the bar and is great with locals. definitely worth going to if you're on the street
