I. Town for the weekend and wanted to walk up and down El Paseo drive. I felt like having a cappuccino and stopped in with my friend. I ordered a cappuccino, a chocolate chip cookie and three pastries to go as they looked amazing. $44 later we left and I was thinking for $44 this cappuccino and cakes better be phenomenal! Well sadly they were not. I ordered a lemon tart, apple tart and raspberry cake. I was told they were all “fresh!” Not likely. We got home and the raspberry cake may have had fresh raspberries at one time but I don’t know when that was as the icing came apart from the dry cake and the filling was bland, jam would have more flavor. The lemon tart was so dry it came apart and I have no idea what was on the inside but it looked disgusting. The slight lemon flavor was detectable but barely. My apologies for my unfriendly tone but this was sinfully bad. The apple tart was like biting into a sugar cube I had to spit it out. I am so disappointed with this experience and lastly the cappuccino was ok. A little sting in the coffee side and not enough foam but it was palatable.
Authentic Italian cafe with very good coffee drinks and a big selection of pastries, tasting as good as they looked. The owner was really nice and friendly. Glad we stopped by while in town. Would definitely come back again.
What a quaint little place. I'd never seen it but I was looking up places to ride for coffee and it popped up on Google maps. We're traveling to Italy this summer so I wanted to get a feel for what's in store. Very good latte and delicious raspberry tart. Prices are fairly high...$18 for the two items. But they were tasty. I would come back.
This place is wonderful. Can’t imagine anyone giving this place.less than 5 stars…. But then again there are people whole just can’t ever be pleased. Food and service is incredible. Everything is good.
This is one of my favorite places to go for coffee in town. Mira makes the best espresso and has somehow memorized the orders of all her "regulars." I go simple, espresso with a dash of cream - and usually share a pastry with a friend or have a light lunch (soups in the winter, salads or wraps in the summer). The brunch is also a fantastic choice - simple poached eggs with crispy bacon and delicious grilled bread. This is a European style café and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s a cute cafe, one you’d find in Paris or Italy. The pastries are delicious and the cappuccinos are the best in my opinion. It’s small but so charming. One of my favorite unique places in Palm Desert.
Great cafe on El Paseo! Have been coming here for years. Beautifully presented bakery! Love the delicious pastries which have a true European flair!! Had lunch today, food was great and service quick and efficient !! Plan on returning more often for the yummy pastries!!!
Wonderful find on El Paseo. Very friendly and personable service from the owner of this beautiful little shop. Very nicely decorated with great atmosphere. And, the coffee was excellent and the pastries delicious.
A wonderful European style cafe right here in the desert. The menu is simple, delicious and everything is made from scratch. The cappuccino is better than probably most places in Italy for that matter. Yes, it is European (the owner is from Europe), so don’t expect the typical over-sweetened, mass-produced fare common to corporate places. They will take good care of you here, but they won’t cater to unpleasantries… which is refreshing and makes for a peaceful retreat from the outside world. Sidewalk tables are great for chilling and enjoying a bit of people-watching, and it’s very common for complete strangers to not remain strangers here.

Had their split pea soup. It had the consistency of water flavored like split pea. I wonder where they got the recipe from.
