Troya Turkish Delight & Baklava

Actual scam. The man working there wouldnt tell us the price when we asked, offered free “samples” that he weighed and added to our total price before we could stop him. Ended up paying $50 for 3 Baklava and a few candies.

The staff was kind and accommodating about my inexperience with Turkish delight and offered many samples to get me items they knew I'd like. I ended up spending more than I expected but I have 0 regrets about it, their candies are delicious.

Overly priced. They claim that they are selling Turkish delight but it has nothing to do with Turkish delight. Those are simply candy and I would not be paying more than 30 dollars if I knew that they were just candies full of fruit juice and sugar. Also serving Turkish coffee in paper cups was a joke for me. This is not the way that any Turkish people drinks Turkish coffee. We drink it in small porcelain cups. Very disappointed.

It was not crunchy but soggy. It was expensive for the price. Not recommended and can't return. Waste of money.

With the new openings of tourist spots, I found this special shop to be friendly very clean conscious and happy to share a piece of their love of food with you. The Turkish coffee is smooth not too bitter. The treats are gorgeous and taste of quality. I went back twice! It's going to be our new must stop when we go to Monterey.

A rare place which offers authentic Turkish desserts and coffee/tea. You should try if you come to Monterey.

Decent product, but be warned - very high prices and constant high-pressure and deceptive sales approach. You likely won't walk out without having $30 or $40 extracted from you. I also question whether the scale is accurate.

As soon as you walk in, the store is beautifully done. From the baklava to the amazing delights, you can't go wrong. Will, the owner is fantastic and makes you feel so welcome. We had a great time chatting with him and walked away with some of the BEST TREATS we've ever had!!! And I'm Middle Eastern so I've had my share of baklava!

First timer...friendly, no problems sampling items prior to purchase,...unique and very good. Would be back!

Wonderful staff and service. As soon as i walked in, the staff took wonderful care of me and my friends. Double pistachio thing pares great with the cardamon Turkish coffee "Make yourself at home" -hostess
