I love that they made my tea bag. So the tea leaves sit in a sealed jar to keep in freshness! The staff was friendly. Such a chill atmosphere! It is a coffee bar by day and wine bar by night! Love it!!

One of the best vanilla lattes I've ever had! Love the atmosphere and the employees. We enjoyed the coffee so much we bought a few bags to enjoy while in town and to take back to the east coast with us! Love supporting local businesses. 💗

Ever feel vaguely dissatisfied by the commercial vacuity of Starbucks? Ever look for a coffee shop with character and comfort, in addition to amazing - and I do mean amazing - coffee? You have to try this place. Absolutely worth the trip from LA just for coffee!

Really nice spot for great coffee and just to sit back and relax. Three floors of comfortable seating. The coffee was amazing! Tried oat milk for the first time. They also roast their own coffee which tastes so damn good. Five stars across the board. Will definitely be back.

this is not a fast grab n go coffee shop, but it’s one of my fav reasons why i enjoy black velvet! every coffee is curated right in front of you :) and i’ve had some of the best lattes’ i’ve ever had here!

They have good coffee and even better muffins. It was so scrumptious and moist. Great spot to get coffee after or before heading to the mountains.

The cappuccino here was really good! The coffee had the perfect level of acidity/bitterness and I’d definitely come back here when I’m in the area.

Friendly baristas and great hand-crafted drinks. I had a mocha and my wife had a horchata latte. Delicious! We made two visits to BVC while we were in Mammoth and likewise for our sons. I’ve attached photos of our drinks.

Bringing speciality coffee to mammoth, Black Velvet is my favorite place to caffeinate alongside a good book. The espresso is excellent and the baristas pour 🔥 cortados, cappuccinos, etc. While almond milk isn't my favorite alt-milk, it pairs well with their spro and actually steams well. Would recommend this spot wholeheartedly!
