I've been to a few coffee houses in Mammoth over the years and this has to be my favorite so far. I tried three this past trip and it was definitely my favorite new spot. Still have to try a few more. Lol I'll be heading there next time I'm up there for sure. I know I'm in an excellent coffee shop when I see one size coffee available and the cups are ink stamped. Not kidding either! The best coffee shops I've tried with this concept are the best coffees I've had. Check them out for sure. Yummy!

Love love love Black Velvet Coffee! I love all of their teas and their dirty chai tea latte! They give away cute stickers for free! And of course I had to buy their beanie with their really cute logo on it and it’s in my favorite color! I definitely recommend everyone tries this wee coffee shop out! You won’t be disappointed!

Best coffee and wine tasting in Mammoth! We always make sure to stop by Black Velvet when we’re in Mammoth. Idalia is our favorite and will make sure you have an enjoyable evening during her wine tasting!

My favorite coffee in Mammoth (and some of my favorite in the world). I always stop by when I’m in town and frequented the shop when I lived close by. The specialty drinks are always tempting and flavorful for someone who typically drinks their coffee black. Also a great place to buy beans.

Good mostly, although the espresso quality can vary quite significantly by barista. Biggest problem seems to be puck prep and channeling, but it doesn't help that you might get an espresso pulled from one of two wildly different espresso machines.

Maybe check out a spinning espresso distributor tool and perhaps don't smash the ground coffee with all your might.

Was going here for 8 years, for a long time it’s been my favorite coffee place. But after ownership change, coffee quality got unstable. Sometimes coffee is good, sometimes coffee is …
Floating stuff is not helping either, some of new folks are learning on the fly.
The worst part for me was when they made a new rule not allowing dogs. Seriously?! No dogs at Mammoth…
Doubt I will go there again, sad to see the place degrade that much

This spot has a very modern but rather eclectic setup. Good service. I enjoyed my latte. Wife enjoyed her tea which was brewed from a teabag the barista filled by hand from a jar of tea leaves. Never seen tea made that way before. I'd recommend this spot if you're in the area.

This is our go to coffee shop when in Mammoth. The baristas are always friendly, and the coffee is delicious. Today I got a vanilla latte and was asked what kind of milk I wanted. Surprisingly they have almond and oat milk available with no up charge! Love this place and highly recommend.

Cool space and our coffee was great. I had a dirty chai and was very impressed! Love the upstairs and all the “coffee gear” you can see.

That is the BEST mocha I've ever had! When it's made with love (and superb coffee) it makes a difference. Also, the churro waffle is perfection.
