Ordered the hamachi collar as my only dish. It was super filling and full of amazing flavors. The fish itself was juicy and flaked apart with every bite. The sauce was overall rich and savory while somehow also being light. It had a touch of both sweet and spicy too. Cilantro, basil, mint, and parsley brought a a well balanced brightness.

Went here with a party of 2. Staff was friendly and attentive to every detail. I like the simplicity of the interior. The chef crossed out every item I couldn't eat due to gluten and dairy allergies,which was helpful. Can't wait to return!

Took my father here for his birthday, so lets say June. Food is super good. Plates are for sharing so I would call it Family Style. Service is great and attentive. I have been here a total of 3 times over 3 months and had not had a bad experience. Worth It

Awesome bone marrow appetizer and their chicken liver is delicious. The food here is definitely 5 star, and the service is great too. Oh and they have an awesome wine selection as well. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food at dive bar prices; oh and the place lacks signs and the inside is lackluster, but that just goes with their laid back environment.

Amazing experience. This was our second visit. It's a good spot for couples, but I highly recommend at least 3 people just so that you can order a greater variety of items. Our server, Brian, was very attentive and had some great recommendations for wine pairings. Can't wait to go back.

This place is food wizardry in motion except the food isn't really in motion it just sounds clever to say and I'm trying to cleverly state that the food is amazing by saying allot of words in one large run-on sentence and now for how the food actually was... Started with the chicken liver toast and I could have just ended my meal with that. I'm still thinking about how good it was and getting teary eyed. Next I moved on to the hamachi tostada and it was fresh and wonderful and spicy and a perfect combination of a tostada version of a fish taco like you've never had before. Finally I had the bone marrow and short run burger. It has a unique blend of sauces and meat that work well together but all in all, was not my favorite part of the meal.

The service in this place is top notch, truly quality attentive service from the time we entered the door until we left.

Be daring and try some things from the menu you won't find at average eateries.

I enjoyed my meal but for some reason everything had a lot of lime on it. Granted, we might have just coincidentally ordered all of the items that contained a pronounced lime flavoring. Despite that oddity, everything else was great; attractive presentation, interesting ingredient choices, and attentive staff.

Extremely attentive service. Menu still fiercely contemporary ten years on. Great amount of variety in the ten dishes we ordered. Difficult place to take a vegetarian friend, but other than that I have no real critiques.

It was decent portions and we did not leave hungry. There were a lot of pork options, definitely wasn't a problem, but I guess since the restaurant is called 'Animal' it would have been great to get a nice variety of plates to choose. But the plates I did have were great so no real complaints. I would come back again to see the rotating dishes.

Awesome place. Had my first Bloody Mary made with Saki, need more of that in my life. The staff was exceptional; friendly and courteous. The food was fresh and flavorful. I'll be back until I hit every menu item!!!

Disrespectful attitude. I was looking forward to their burger after a long day; I was told they will not make me a burger without a bacon rasher because they don't change anything in their menu for anyone. This was not said politely - there was a dismissive shake of the head as if I had asked for their dignity. What's most disrespectful about this is that not everyone has bacon due to dietary requirements; they showed no interest in any understanding of any dietary requirements. What's unusual is that it was the staff who felt offended when I asked them to take the rashers off; as opposed to me who's being shrugged off for what he can and cant eat. This was not a 'we are sorry' attitude. Food was average anyways, portions are tiny so don't go here if you're hungry. If you are going to have this 'hot shot' attitude you better pull it off. These guys didn't. Not recommended.
