Animal Restaurant

Fantastic experience! The staff was great and attentive. Everything we had was wonderful from the chicken liver mousse to the veal tongue. Highly recommend it.

Perhaps it's just not my thing. The fat oozed from the marrow but just did not give me any sense of feeling satiated. Same thing happened to the foie gras loco moco. The foie gras was served in its original form without being deveined - hard to slice and I just could not remember its taste at all - kinda disappointing. For dessert, the tres leches was just way too sweet for me - I bet it would be much better if they put less sugar in the cake.

The hostees were quite absentminded and I don't know if all the food was supposed to serve in such a mild temperature.

From start to finish, epic. Prices are fair because the quality of every plate is top of the top. Ask for the hidden menu burger, will ruin your life of how good it is. A comeback is must.

A mouth experience like no other. These meat wizards know what they are doing and I loved every ounce of it. They highlight every aspect of ever animal that walked this earth. Like they got their masters degree in meatology. Well. Done. (If you will)

Everything takes at least 20 minutes to come yet you are being served bird portion dishes. The restaurant is located in a very poor, dirty, and unsafe neighborhood. There is no dedicated parking for the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant looks like a cheap Starbucks. Crispy pig ears were gross and tasted like a rotten animal.
Some of the dishes - burgers & sandwiches; were really tasty but are they worth all the things you have to endure to “enjoy” it? - NOPE!

Before foodie was a term you used to go to restaurants because chefs loved serving people food. Animal is that blast from the past. When I walk in I feel at home. I know the animals have been cared for and honored in their sacrifice. There’s something sacred about being able to eat someone else’s love.

An amazing experience. Great food and atmosphere. Must try the bone marrow dish and the passion fruit dessert.

Only have good things to say about Animal. Food is excellent, so much flavour, interesting combinations.. casual, fun restaurant. Love all their stuff.

I had the yams, tandoori octopus, soft shell crab, and the rare marrow burger which was a special. Yams were by far the standout, followed by the tandoori octopus and soft shell crab. The rare bone marrow burger was very heavy and a bit much for one person IMO.

I've worked in the food industry for 20 years and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and I have to say that my experience at Animal was perfect! My favorite thing about Animal is that the food, service, space is not pretentious at all, but the quality and standards are incredibly high. The food was perfection, everything was seasoned and cooked exactly right and every dish was a pure delight. The Ricotta Gnudi was one of our favorite, a rich, balanced and succulent bite that melted into your mouth. The Soft Shell Crab with curry sauce was a pure delight to every sense. The snap peas were also a delightful, fresh and bountiful dish. A lot of people are writing here complaining about the 18% service charge without realizing that this restaurant group is one of the few in the industry that pays their staff livable wages and makes it a good experience to work with them and if it means we pay a little more for an incredible experience, i'm all for it. Anyway, I highly recommend Animal. Definitely going back for more special occasions.
