The Whole Wheatery

Whole Foods is actually cheaper than this store. This place takes advantage of its customers because they are the only “whole foods” type of store in Lancaster .... they mark up their prices Way up and then make it look like your saving. Hopefully more whole type of stores start to come over here. Because this place is definitely taking advantage.

This cafe has a great variety of small bites and healthy lunch items. The quiche is especially good, but the soups and sandwiches are also good, with gluten free and vegan options. I'm a meat eater and enjoyed the chicken panini. They also have an assortment of delicious smoothies and soy protein shakes. With so many choices, there's something for everyone.

I love this place very much. Everytime I come to the AV I stopped by with my sister. But today we had a horrible experience. I don't remember the name of the guy but he was following us. Everywhere we went, I ignore him and kept waking through all the store, because I love to shop in there, take a wonderful time and I love to check every single aisle. At the time of check out he was there at the register looking at us . And when we got out of the store he was outside checking at us. I never stole anything in my life and I wouldn't do it especially in front of my son . I GUESS he is the type of person who judges people by how they dress or how they look like. So Sad. I should have said something at the moment, but I kept my cool and pay for my purchased Iand left. I should leave and don't buy anything. So sad experience.

They have a good selection of baking ingredients, some harder to find items, and a great variety of local honeys. I enjoy shopping here, but have had not great experiences at the juice counter. The ice cream mochi they are serving is not fresh at all. It should be soft and chewy, this mochi had freezer-burnt skin and was overall poor in quality. But as you know, they have a policy that does not allow you to exchange food items.

I have been shop at Whole Wheatery in Lancaster- Ca for over 30 years, I really missed the old days, the only reason I still go there, it’s because I don’t have another choice in Lancaster. I seeing too many employees around and between the aisle doing just nothing, the attendants at juice bar are unprofessional and looking unpleasant, I stop eating their food when I found out that some food is from CANNED, myself I have experienced discrimination there, maybe because I don’t fit the profile or I shouldn’t be shop at that store anymore, The only person that I seeing always busy working its Brian The Golden Guy at that store, he always been very gracious, attentive acknowledging about anything at that store.

Love this store. Used to love in the valley where I would shop at Whole Foods and Sprouts but in Antellope Valley we dont have those stores so ita so nice to have a healthy foods store plus it's nice to have the great service and cafe located in there too. Please never go away.

It’d be nicer if staff wouldn’t follow me like I’m stealing. At least have the decency to ask if I need help, couldn’t find tofu but was put off by staff so didn’t ask. Thankfully was just visiting and can go to WF where I live. Better off going to Trader Joe’s in Palmdale.

Please make more jack fruit bbq vegan sandwhiches of any kind. I picked up a jacked up vegan rib tonight and it was amazing. I'd been trying to go back regularly to find this one and maybe I always miss but damn its so good! I appreciate all the vegan options but more vegan bbq would be the best!!!!!!!

The cafe is totally racist toward black people. I waited 1 hr and a half for service they are so blatantly prejudiced, this is not acceptable and they will be getting several reviews on Yelp. My table was the only table not being served. We shop at the whole wheatery all the time and if my money is not good at the cafe it is not good at that entire establishment. The girl that attempted to serve my drink practically threw it on the table once she knew I ordered the drink. Wow really, I started going to this store because a friend once worked at the store. This is one of the only neighborhood health food stores and they want to treat people in this manner. GO FIGURE!!!!!! To the owner you need to terminate the entire cafe staff and hire friendly people that are not prejudice.

They didnt have low carb bread. I did get some vitamins and back pain relief pills, but kinda pricey. Otherwise I'd give more stars
