Love this place! Friendly staffs & great flavors! Love that they do seasonal drinks. We live about 40 mins. away & it’s worth the drive for us! Their scones & butter is a must here! It does get busy & tables are limited so arrive early or order online to skip the line. I like that they give you these “happy day” quotes for per order (: Overall, this place is a must try!

I love enjoying good coffee at a place that has a good vibe. This place has both! I enjoyed a very nice Columbian Geisha pour-over coffee and a delicious scone with a blueberry butter. Mind you, this put me out over $15! The scone was really amazing (warm and not dry) and definitely a tempting item to return to. I love good coffee and will return to try their other in-house roasted coffee pour-overs. There is plenty of seating for folks visiting (and actually talking) and for those studying. Thanks!

I LOVE Public Square Coffee and it makes it into my 10 ten favorite places to visit in the world. The staff here are amazing and coming here feels like coming home. I am grateful for people like Alexis, often see in the register with awesome hair, who make it a point to make you feel seen and valued. This isn’t just a coffee shop this is a place where community is built.

You know that feeling when you eat something so good you start smiling, this is the place. The coffee was amazing!!! And so glad Alexis suggested the bacon and egg in my grilled cheese!

Delicious scones and excellent coffee. Highly recommend the coffee house and you will not be disappointed. Blake was awesome and helped us order, since it was our first time visiting the location. Super friendly staff and great vibe.

Public square coffee house is my favorite coffee shop in La Mesa. The staff are friendly and the ambience is chill. Mostly importantly, they have oak milk which is why the design below isn’t perfect but delicious never-the-less.
They were pretty packed during the holidays so I’ll be coming back to study when it gets less crowded.

The scones were a bit different than my normal expectation, but serving them with the buyers made for a lovely tasting experience. The latte was served to the brim of the cup, so take care walking back to your table with it. It was definitely a nice way to warm up on a cold morning. It may take a minute if you go before noon to get your food but worth it. Especially the Drench Toast - a berry kissed bread pudding like dish that was smooth and flavorful. The maple butter on top added to the experience.

Update:
this coffee shop has added an additional 3.5% fee to all receipts listed as a Merchant Fee.
I personally think that’s a little sneaky in comparison to raising their prices 3.5%.
More and more companies are doing this and I think it’s bad customer experience as it reduces transparency on prices.
Additionally, did the wages of their employees increase to match this price increase?
