Nice place, excellent coffee! I tried the Geisha Coffee that's locally grown and was very pleased, very good.

An absolute perfect cappuccino! Nothing else. Wow!

Really really good coffee, and super friendly staff. I came here to buy beans for my home espresso, and they also grind it for you which is really nice. Good wifi and often seating, and a nice location. Definitely recommend!

Very cute little coffee shop in Bird Rock! Everyone who works there is so friendly and kind. Great place to meet a friend for a coffee, power through some work, or sit down with a good book. I get the dirty chai latte with breve, light sweet and it never disappoints. The crumble muffins are also delicious.

Not your average Starbucks... Bird Rock Coffee Roasters know their coffee! Every detail is thoughtfully put together at this hip, open space, award winning roaster/café.
Without a doubt I’ll be return here— an establishment meant for any coffee patron, snob or noob, you won’t go wrong here!
(I’d give them 6 stars if I could).

There's something strange and paranoid going on here. They've closed half of the outdoor seating "please do not sit here", and now ban cash, AND closed their restrooms. The excessive number of paper signs put up tackily with blue masking tape is just unpleasant and unwelcoming. There are plenty of cafes still open in SD that have adapted to the pandemic with more outdoor seating, pleasant reminders, and leaving their bathrooms open. I suspect it's more to cut cost (cash handling, restroom/interior cleaning). It's just lazy, there is plenty of space to add outdoor seating and I'm sure the city would allow them to take over some of the street parking. Just look at Beaumonts a block away. I'd advise to choose another cafe until the pandemic is over.

Perfect place to grab a cup of coffee, their coffee is well made and delicious as they offer different roasts. It's located in a really chill area in bird rock which is good for walking around after getting your cup of coffee.

It’s a staple in the neighborhood. Great vibes, coffee, and snacks but don’t expect to get in and out quick; there’s always a line.

The atmosphere is really fun, but the coffee was okay. I had the iced dirty horchata and it didn’t taste like either horchata or coffee, just kind of watery. The hot latte was mainly foam. Not sure if it’s worth the price.

I put significant effort into finding the best coffee where ever I travel. Bird Rock roasters are amongst the best in San Diego and on par with the best in Australia. Their suyusama project sees them travel to Colombia to train and empower local growers. There is a real connection between the product and the people and it shows through in coffee.
