Eddie's Bakery Cafe

This is one of the few top grade bakeries in Fresno, in the same league as La Boulangerie. The breads are outstanding, each highly flavourful and imbued with the proper crust for the type of bread. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but every cake, tart, cookie, muffin etc. I have ever served from Eddie's has always been very, very well received.

If you like desserts, this is my favorite.

I've always had a good experience with Eddie's Bakery. The staff were helpful when placing orders and even when I had to set my pick up sooner. Not to mention they're cakes are delicious. It is a bit pricey but I think the quality makes it worth it. I've ordered about 3 cakes from them and plan to order more in the future :)

Special ordered a Coconut Pie two days ahead as requested. One of the worst Coconut Pies I have ever had. Too much whip cream on the top and not enough filling or coconut. I will save the money next time and go to Save Mart. They can do a better job than this.

I always come here to order the Nicoise cake and macaroons. The details and service has always been great, but today's service was very off. I called and made a phone order, where Anna helped assisted me. She helped answer my questions about what was available and also told me what was available for macaroons too, both in the front on display and in the back. I decided, I would come inside to look at the macaroons. As soon as I arrived, I asked for what flavors were available. I was then told just whatever is out and maybe salted caramel in the back. This was coming from Daniel, one of the employees. I told him that Anna told me there were more, feeling very confused. Then Daniel's voice got more aggressive telling me it's just what they have in the front and salted caramel in the back. It felt as if I was a lost child who didn't know any better from the way how he spoke to me. I felt so belittle. At that point, I didn't care what flavors they had. It was customer service that shocked me. I expected a pleasant and friendly tone . As I was paying for the cake with another employee, Daniel walks by and rolled his eyes at me. This is not customer service. It was very unprofessional. Not sure if I will ever come back now because of this. You can comment on this or reach out to me, but at this point it doesn't even matter anymore.

Lady Fingers Fruit Cake!! Everything at this place is amazing.

Had not ordered from this place in several year due to mistake on my sons cake. They ended up placing picture of unknown person. Recently decided to give them another chance and my order was somehow not placed! Birthday party for 3 year old with no custom cake.

I have lived in the area for 7 years and just discovered this wonderful place to eat lunch, a couple months ago. I eat here about once a week. There peanut butter cookies are a good finish to lunch, but sad to say if you don't get them before 12 they are usually out. Shows how good they are.

I am not from Fresno but baby shower events in Fresno to attend. Had researched on bakeries in Fresno to purchase not one but TWO baby shower cakes. Saw Eddie's Bakery on google and decided to try.

I had my family members in town drive there to order. The place was short staffed and only two employees can take the order. So my family members waited, waited, and waited to be served. No one came to take their order. So they left.

The following day I had my sister order via phone the cakes... they told her to pay immediately or else the order was canceled. My sister told them the person paying was coming in from out of town and she will pay when she gets here the following day. They later told her I better pay by noon the following day or else the cakes were canceled. What kind of business is this?!?!?!?!?

Their order policy states that cakes can be ordered 2 days in advance. We were ordering the cake in 4-5 days in advance... so if I came in a paid 2 days in advance, order should be good, right??????

My husband and I own a flooring store. If we were that demanding and rude to our customers, we wouldn't have any left. I will NOT be recommending anyone to this place. And based on their google ratings, now I understand why.

I have always heard nothing but good things about Eddie’s Bakery. My wife has always wanted a cake from here for our wedding but at the time we got married in 2008 we could afford the cost of a wedding. Fast forward to 2019 my wife and I finally had a chance to order a cake and it was for our Gender Reveal/ Baby shower. We have struggled with infertility for years and finally after almost 2 years of IVF we got pregnant!! We were so excited to come to Eddie’s to order cakes we spent almost 2 hours with a manger going over the reason for the cakes and our excitement this is my first child so I’m sure everyone can see how excited over joyed we are! We order 4 cakes in total 1 blue for boy Mickey fondant and 1 pink Minnie fondant cake with Mickey/Minnie 3D topper & 1 blue butter cream 1 pink butter cream Minnie/ Mickey cake and I provided a picture of the cakes paid in full over $460. April 27 I arrive at around 930am to pick up the cakes automatically they start acting weird with me I was told they would refund me $200 but not given a reason just that I was over charged. Then the cakes were brought out and I see that these are not the cakes I ordered. I text me wife and then call her she starts to cry I assure her it will be ok. I told them you guys don’t understand how much we put into this day this day means a lot to us! These cakes looked nothing like any other cake they are know for baking.The cakes I received could have been ordered from someone that bakes from home! Needless to say I called Monday and no manger would speak to me by Thursday I get a call back that I would receive a gift card to eddies for $35 for the inconvenience I waited to post my experience to give them the opportunity to make it right but sadly that did not happen. No thanks you can keep $35 I won’t be returning ever! If someone would have called me and at least told me they could not make the cakes this would have made all the difference!
