Eddie's Bakery made our wedding cake for our October 2022 wedding and it was the most fantastic experience! From the consultation and tasting to getting down all the details for our cake design, we had such an amazing experience with their wedding cake department!
I have had some weird experiences with customer service in the general bakery (and trying to place an order for catering for my bridal shower). However, if you are looking to have a wedding cake made, look no further! The gal who manages the wedding cakes is AMAZING, and the prices are definitely reasonable!
(PS: Floral was from Clovis East Timberblossom, as Eddie's requests you provide the floral for cakes the day before the cake pick-up)

Good experience with the process of hiring and designing my cake, pretty easy even though I was planning from San Diego. Staff is kind and the cakes are delicious. I really like that they offer to give you your top tier cake 1 year later so that you don’t have to freeze it. Only downside was that my cake topper was not placed on my cake for my wedding day. Not sure where there was miscommunication and no one called me about it. Luckily I reached out and they still had my topper in store and I was able to pick it up.

Eddie's is a local classic, with a packed bakery case, custom cakes, a delicious brunch menu, and a coffee bar featuring Peet's Coffee. We've enjoying coming here for years, and have enjoyed almost everything. They're almost always busy at breakfast, but you're able to draw a number upon entry and the line moves quickly most of the time. We've also ordered several custom birthday cakes, which are definitely a splurge, but have been well done and enjoyed by all.
I have noticed inconsistencies with their drip coffee over the years-- sometimes it's so strong it's almost syrupy, other times it's appropriate (but you never know what you're going to get). This has been a turn off for me at times, as someone who frequented this bakery weekly for a coffee before work. Just an FYI.

It was my first time trying Eddies !!!! Unfortunately, in my opinion it is overrated. Definitely it’s way better than the groceries cakes, but not for a well reputable bakery. The store is clean and smells good, the presentation and decoration are nice, but the most important thing, the flavor, it was below average. You can tell that it is a ready mix cake with normal whipping cream…..
For a bakery like eddies…… you can guys do waaaay better

If you want really delicious and fresh pastries you gotta stop by. The chocolate eclairs are my favorite but everything is yummy. Their pastries do not have that yucky artificial aftertaste of so many other bakeries.

A trip to Eddie's never disappoints. They have an amazing selection of baked goods to satisfy even the pickiest sweet-tooths. You can also purchase various fresh baked breads, Peets coffee and grab a Cafe style lunch.

Eddie's Bakery is always a joy to visit! The employees are pleasant and helpful and their selection is amazing! Their bakery items are as delicious as they look, which isn't the case with many bakeries. From custom cakes, to macarons and other cookies, to breakfast pastries, one is sure to find exactly what they are looking for. They also have some great coffee as well as a coffee bar for self service. Safety protocols are in place with employees wearing masks as well as acrylic safety dividers in place. Also, they have a lovely outdoor covered patio for your safety and comfort for you to be able to enjoy your tasty treats and be able to practice social distancing during the pandemic. The carrot cake my husband and I shared on their patio during our last visit was delicious!

If you have a sweet tooth, this is your place. Too sweet for me. The middle dessert tasted strongly like liquor. Decorations is nice though.

On April 15th, Eddies Bakery made a 3 tier 6 in cake, except the topper, for my nieces shower and 30 cupcakes. The cake topper was from Etsy. The cake was beautiful as were the cupcakes. Unfortunately, the cupcakes were VERY dry and the vanilla ones were hard on top with little flavor. The chocolate ones were a little more moist but still a disappointnent. Cakes are always fabulous at Eddies but stay away from the cupcakes. They aren't the same quality sadly.

Costco Danishes ain't got nothin on Eddies Danishes!
Let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time there was this little child (7 years old) his dad was not French, yet made the best French pastries this wee young lad had every laid his taste buds on. When the lil squirt had aspirations of being as good as his dad, but he soon realized the impossibility of this. So the lil munchkin grew in stature all the while knowing what a pastry made with love tasted like. The then lil squirt became a young man in search of the best pastries up and down the West Coast.
Oh, I was once the lil squirt, my dad IS still FREAKIN amazing at making pastries, but Eddies is a pretty close "2nd" place to my dad. This doesn't mean they should be a 4 star, it just means my Dad - if he had a google rating (don't get your hopes up world he only likes baking for close loved ones), would be a 6 star.
ACTUAL REVIEW:
The boysenberry Danish was still warm when I ate it shortly after they opened (6 am), the filling tasted like homemade boysenberry jam, NOT like the nasty canned filling, the Danish itself was light and flaky, and had the special touch that comes with bakers who take their time and don't over work the flaky dough prior to cooking.
I also recommend you get their chocolate almond filled croissant if you like those flavors, I do personally!
Coffee: Average, not special. They serve Peets coffee, and I ordered an Oat milk Carmel Macchiato. I like my coffee drinks iced and extra sweet. The sweetness is on par, however the coffee flavor is too acidic, and a bit bitter, not smooth. Still, not a terrible coffee, there's just other places I'd rather go for a sweet coffee drink. This is my first coffee drink I've had here, so this may be a one off... Nonetheless I came here for the pastries not the coffee.
