Highly recommend the Old Post Office. It's a small cosy place, easy to reach, close to the lake, with delicious food, whether you want to have breakfast, lunch or brunch. Portions are rather big (maybe it's simply the American size, unsure).

We have eaten breakfast here every day since we stumbled across this little gem!! Everything (including the staff) is FANTASTIC! The Hangover Helper is by far our top pick. You won’t be disappointed with this place, I promise!

Food was delicious and fresh. I had the carnelian beef sandwich and my husband had The Works. This will definitely be a favorite when we are in the area.

Amazing food and great location! They have seating outdoors due to covid and makes it a perfect spot!

Great pit stop-awesome breakfast menu and good sandwiches for lunch. Service was great, welcoming and kind. Loved the melt and the monte Cristo!

Fun breakfast spot. Foods was delicious with reasonable portion sizes. Would definitely come back again.

I might generally give this place five stars, but I learned on our recent visit that it is not good for larger parties. They have great food, a fun atmosphere and generally friendly service. This last visit we had a party of 14, which they accommodated relatively quickly during a busy time, but did so with an attitude that they’d prefer we weren’t there.
Otherwise, great place! We’ve been coming here for 11 years and have never been disappointed. My favorite sign in the place reads something like, “We don’t have WiFi. Put your phones down and talk to someone. Pretend like it’s 1995.”

Awesome place for breakfast. As Tahoe locals this is our go-to spot whenever we go out for breakfast. Portions are huge and the staff is always super welcoming. You will usually have to wait for a table because they are that busy, but it's always worth the wait on a weekend morning.

We LOVED it! We had a family reunion & decided to stop by for breakfast on the way out before making the drive back to the Bay Area.
We were amazed at how delicious it was, the kids got the French Toast & it was easily the best I've ever had.
I had the Crab Cakes egg Benedict but almost instantly had buyers remorse. I didn't think it was the best bet being in Tahoe but boy was I wrong, they were delicious!!!
Hands down the best breakfast I've had in a while!
