Mossman's Westchester Coffee Shop

Mossman’s coffee shop and catering have been a Bakersfield staple for close to 60 years. They have a second location in the south/west, on Wible rd, south of Planz rd.
Someone once described Mossman’s coffee shop as a no thrill, but excellent food coffee shop.
I ordered bacon and eggs with pancakes. It was delicious. Two pancakes could feed two people, they are huge.
Mossman’s is know for their delicious fish and chips, best biscuits and gravy and large pancakes.

Hands down the best fish and chips in Bakersfield!! Excellent service and a great atmosphere with kind people.

A great little diner sharing a building with a bowling alley. A super cool atmosphere with nice staff. The wait wasn’t long at all and the fish and chips I had were superb. But the atmosphere and the staff are what really sells it. Would definitely recommend for a quick meal.

All the food is great I’ve eaten here for years but now that I don’t live here I always get the fish and chips. Love the coleslaw and if Mossman’s great bread.

Love coming here. The night/ afternoon crew is the best! Very friendly and the food comes out fairly quick and always cooked perfect.

Always great fish. French fries not so good, cold and old.

This is the first time i ever written a review but today we went to have lunch and my wife got the fish and chips and fish was old and seemed reheated, the fries were cold and we to ask for another batch, the roll wasn't even warm and to top it all off the waitress never came to check in on us for refills or anything. I also requested a fruit bowl and all i got was watermelon. I have been coming here for many years and i have never had this bad of food or service. Totally disappointed.

I would give a 5 but my fish was not quite to par this trip. Maybe too late after lunch and had been sitting. No more bowling alley, bummer! Not same experience but everything has changed after COVID. Will be better next time I'm sure of it, a family favorite place!
