Milts knows how to do breakfast right! Their Turkey avocado tomato omelet is super tasty and had the most beautiful glob of fresh avocado on top. My boyfriend got the BLT with extra bacon and fries. I stole a small piece of bacon off his sandwich and it was nice and crispy. They also had beautiful cooked just right hashbrowns (not every place knows how to get that nice color to the hashbrowns, have had pale nasty hashbrowns at another popular east Bakersfield breakfast restaurant). All in all, good food. Coffee was tasty. It gets pretty busy at peak times so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table or your drink order.

This is a Bakersfield Stapel. Great food, great service. And fair pricing. I don't go often enough.

Always great friendly service. My family and I have been coming here for over 10years and we are never disappointed with the items we order. There is something for everyone on the menu and the food has been consistent, we know what to expect when we order our favorite dishes and that's why we continue to frequent this establishment. Just ate the Trout dinner... incredibly Good...sweet waitress boxed up peach cobbler n ice cream to go!

I raided this place A1 just don't stop here we went into place to eat breakfast there was three of us people were coming in after us and being seated before us 45 minutes later when we got a seat they would not bring us nothing to drink we said there another 30 minutes and got up and left and went to hodel's just avoid this place

Food was good but not really warm. They were super busy so I'm sure that was a contributing factor.

My experience here was horrible. We were placed in booth were the highchair couldnt fit in between the booth seats, so there was a big gap between the highchair and the edge of the table. And the booth cushions would come up everytime I leaned on the edge to feed my child. My mom ordered the giant cinnamon roll, mainly because I heard Alton brown liked it when he came. It was gross. It was lukewarm, had cold spots in it as if it was unevenly heated up in the microwave. It was soaked in margarine and the texture of the dough was bready, not yeasty. Very unappetizing. My mom ordered the fish and chips and she enjoyed them very much. My son got the Mickey mouse pancakes and they were doused in whipped cream and m&ms. He just ate the candy on it. We ordered the the oatmeal for my infant girl and it was very gooey and sloppy. For myself I got the spinach and mushroom omelet. Very disappointing. The cook didnt squeeze the juice out of the spinach (which tasted like frozen spinach, not fresh) so my omelet was sitting in spinach water. The omelet was also burnt. I couldnt eat it so I sent it back. The waitress was nice and understanding, she took it off the tab. The place inside is very drab, still set in the 1980s like alot of restaurants here in Bakersfield.
I'm sure there is good food here, but I wouldn't come back.

I’m going to leave what I believe to be one of the only honest reviews of this place that you’ll find. I’m not a difficult person to please. In most cases, I find myself to be somewhat of a pushover. I typically do not complain about anything, even when I’m met with the absolute worst. This time, however, I’m left with no choice but to speak up. My dad recommended we go to this place because he had been coming for years, but we both left unsatisfied. First of all, the food is overpriced. I would be willing to pay as much as it is if the food was at least somewhat warm, but it was nowhere near room temperature. It took over 30 minutes to get our food, which, of course, was ice cold. The waffle was thin and burned, and the eggs were brown and undercooked. The hash browns were burned on the outside and raw in the middle, and the biscuit was probably the worst I have ever had. It tasted and felt like I was eating a stick of deodorant. The waiter was not personable in the slightest. It was like pulling teeth trying to get him to do anything at all. There was no cream for my coffee, and when I asked he brought me a receptacle of cream with a crusted film on top. It was also warm and slightly chunky. He never came back to ask how anything was, and when we ordered he was exceptionally rude, cutting me off whenever I would ask a question like he was in a hurry when the place was half empty. I hate to leave reviews like this because I like to support local businesses, but this is a place that needs to correct some major issues. It was $50 for two people to eat and absolutely nothing was good. I will never be coming back. Extremely disappointed.

I've enjoyed eating at this diner in the past couple of months. However today, my server, "Cheryl," after delivering my meal and Coke, never once came back to my table to check on refilling my drink. So for the entire second half of my meal, I was eating without being able to wash my drink down. Too bad I can't give this diner four or five stars.

The potato salad tasted like fingernail polish remover.
My Husbands water tasted like dish water, My Dr. Pepper was refilled once but stayed empty the rest of the time, coffee was undrinkable, tasted burnt.
The things about the food or drink that were not gross, were simply elevated ‘Okay’.
They were busy, not sure why, because we won’t ever go again. Server or cashier never asked how it was (they probably get tired of hearing how bad it is).
I’m perplexed at the good reviews on here, It was nasty and over 50$ dollars for two people after tip (no alcohol).
It’s gotta pretty bad for me to say something, but after nobody asked or cared. I thought I would leave a review just in case anyone is considering going.
