The restaurant was crowded for Saturday breakfast, we were greeted by Mark and seated pretty quickly. We had two children with us and the kids loved their pancakes!
We had the Cajun shrimp omelette, chicken fried steak and pastrami. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Service was a bit slow, food arrived without any silverware! Only 4 sets of silverware were brought to our party of 6. They may have been shorthanded as everyone else is these days. Thank you mark for the hospitality, we will visit again!

We arrived on a Sunday around 1 o’clock, and they were pretty busy. However, we got seated right away and had a wonderful waitress by the name of Margo. We did have to ask for silverware and napkins, but everything else was excellent. We really liked the pastrami sandwich and the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. While the presentation wasn’t anything special, the food itself was wonderful! My husband especially liked the mashed potatoes and gravy. We will be back.

Milts is a place we’re time stopped, modernized in there dishes but but prep stayed the same. Cinnamon roll is perfect soft cream buttery lite bread. Homemade sausage patty is amazing and is not spicy like others make. Fluffy eggs not rubbery was a delight.

The Raven & La Bruja the witching hour 13

we were glad to see that Milts had finally reopened after a long "remodeling" closure. We had just come in for the first time last year, in Sept and October 2022, and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, we've come several time in the last few months but they were still closed.
Today, we came in expecting major remodeling changes since it was closed so long... but no. besides changes of art on the wall, not much else looked different.
Which, whatever.
Everything on the February menu sounded awesome. I ordered the Chicken and waffles and my bf ordered a cheeseburger with fries... super easy, simple and should be a quick order.
I should mention, it was around 2pm on a Saturday, they weren't busy at all. maybe 6 to 7 tables occupied, and there were no less than 5 wait staff and a busser.
after about 20 minutes passed, since we had ordered... and our drinks hadn't been refilled, i noticed the wait staff were grouped together chit-chating, and 1 male was talking about taking Adderall and No dose pills... very classy. Still, we waited and waited. Finally, our waitress came to refill my bfs coffee, and i asked her for a refill of tea.
after about a total of 30 minutes, probably more, our food came. I was expecting homemade waffles, thick and fluffy, like you would get at ANY restaurant that serves waffles. What i got was thin, i mean THIN, eggo looking, frozen waffles and tastless chicken pieces. the chicken didn't bother me as much as the waffles, even though i was expecting more from their highly acclaimed fried chicken, it reminded me of the bowling alley chicken, but less seasoned, but the waffles came cold and were so flat, there's just no way those could be made there, they had to be frozen. much disappointment and annoyance. This meal was $18 dollars, for 2 frozen eggos, tasteless chicken pieces and 2 scrambled eggs. the audacity. in THIS ECONOMY. where people are trying to support local businesses but also trying to get meals that are worth the money. i could buy 6 boxes of eggos for $18. My bfs burger was basic, nothing exciting, and he said you could taste the fries were frozen, which in most cases fries usually are, but you usually can't taste the "frozen" in them... IFYKYK. His meal was $17.
I ordered some beinets to go, (before we tasted our meals) off the February menu but I've yet to taste them. I afraid I'll be equally disappointed as with the waffles. but maybe they will redeme Milts. but as of now, Milts is added to the list of many restaurants who've gone the way of overcharging for mediocre food and service since the pandemic. our list of local eateries that provide great food, great service, and fair prices is getting shorter and shorter. We love supporting local businesses and I understand that many local businesses have been struggling, but cutting corners in quality, taste and service, is not the way to go to get people to return. I've noticed this is a growing trend everywhere now. Mediocrity has become the bar and no one is trying to go above it. I don't like to write negative reviews. But I do want to enjoy and be happy with the service and product I'm spending my money on, especially in a time when people are trying to budget and make ends meet. what was once a nice $50 dinner for 2 has become a $75 dinner for 2. The food and service was somehow better when it was cheaper.

Good home style cooking. Great service. Great prices. Clean restrooms. GREAT Biscuits and Gravy. Texas Chili Omelet. Heaven.

I give everything a 5 star because the place is quite amazing and has great tasting food and the staff are wonderful. However it's very expensive for just one waffle that was very thin was 12$ we were expecting a big fluffy waffle but no. We orderered other food and it was great but again pricey. I'd go back definitely but maybe for more of a special occasion.

Wait staff is cheerful and sweet, coffee is good, but the kitchen needs work. Slow, and overcooked let’s say burnt hash browns and sausages. Portions are generous but not edible. New owner has to knuckle down on kitchen times and quality. Nice decor.

Just short and sweet. Service was very slow and it was not busy at all . Maybe 5 other parties in the restaurant 3/4 of them already eating. Took over 30 min to receive food . Nothing special a burger and some fried chicken. Food was fairly expensive and was lower quality, average at best. Probably will not return. It was recently sold and remodeled. Seemed way better under previous owners. Used to go in pretty often with previous owners and never had a issue. This was my first and probably last time back under new ownership.

The food was good and service was just okay (had to ask for refills). This was our first time trying Milts with the new owners.

- my husband got the chili Verde plate, which was a child size portion and wasn't offered the soup/salad that was supposed to come with it.

-I ordered the chicken strip plate which was supposed to come with mash potatoes and gravy and veggies. I got fries. I was told you can ask for anything, but it comes with fries unless you ask. The menu states mashed potatoes with gravy and veggies....how was I supposed to know I needed to ask when that was what the menu said.

-my mom ordered the steak sandwich, which she ended up with a steak meal (which wasn't on the menu). The steak was well done when she asked for medium. They charged $26 for this meal, but refunded her $6 since that isn't what she ordered.

- my daughters meal was great, but they charged us $4.50 for a kids chocolate milk. They were supposed to fix the cost, but ended up forgetting.

With a price tag of $90 for lunch for 3 adults and 1 kid we won't go back, even though the food was good. It really wasn't worth that price tag.

Milt's stays producing bomb food. Paint job is nice, the new owners haven't changed much. The staff is still wonderful! The bloody marry is 🔥 as always.
