First time here in a while. Last time was when it was called Kelly's.........man I'm getting old. Anyways, got the chile verde scramble. Good flavor, had nice flavor. Wish it would've had a little more spice, but was delicious nonetheless. Service was nice, fast and friendly

I ordered the Ham steak and eggs. Big plate of food but it missed the mark.. The ham steak was not well done as I had ordered It. It was very fatty and it also had montreal steak seasoning which gave it an odd taste. I ate it because I was hungry. Not very good. The guy next to me had bacon and eggs which looked great. Ill give this place 1 more chance and give an update later..

Small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that has large portions of food but is still very good. The bathrooms are a bit dingy, really old-school vibe but overall really good. Best, Country potatoes, Jakes ever had.

Truck stop cafe in an industrial zoned area. Plenty of parking. Clean booths and restroom. Service was top notch. Food was good but it's what you expect from a truck stop cafe. Biscuits were a bit dry and the eggs overcooked. Huge servings allow you to easily share a breakfast if that's your thing. Brewed ice tea was delicious.

Shared a chicken fried steak with the wife. And it was amazing as always. This is the chicken fried steak all others look up to.

Service matched the food in quality, very nice and inviting. Always attentive to our needs and we couldn't be happier.

After going back less than a week later, I could not be more dissatisfied. My food came to the table cold (along with my wife's) I ate two bites and stacked my plates. The server came around 10 minutes later, didn't even ask about all the food still on the plates. We told her what was wrong and she said the best I can do is comp your drinks.......... Which tells me she left the food in the window too long and couldn't go back to the cook and explain it. Literally one of the worst dining experiences ever. If you're the owner it was not the new girl who served us on the weekend, she was an older and obviously more comfortable brown haired woman.

If you want to avoid breakfast places like Denny’s or McDonald’s nearby then KK’s cafe is a great option for breakfast.

The service here is efficient and the food came out quite fast even though there was only 2 servers on a busy Mother’s Day morning. The ham and cheese sandwich was packed full of ham definitely no cheaping out on protein here. The waffles were very crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We were impressed by the food here.

The only downside is that we stuck like sore thumbs - be prepared for some stares if you’re not local and from Kern county.

Visited California from England last year with my Wife. I saw this place on google maps when planning our trip and had to go. I wanted a real diner where real people eat.

Chicken Fried Steak is a glorious invention that only a You The People could create. Only in the Home of the Brave could someone batter and deepfry a steak with a straight face. It is delicious.

We also had Bicuits and Gravy which are kinda like a bun and a dumpling combined and not a biscuit, it's a bread. The gravy is thick and it's all delicious.

I had a "side" of pancakes which came on a plate as wide as my main meal. Pancakes the size of my head. Again, absolutely delicous.

Our waitress was excellent at answering all our ignorant questions about your Star-Spangled cuisine. Such as "what the h*ll is a chicken fried steak?". And we asked her loads of questions about what California is like for her and all you fine people. KK's diner was a real highlight.
