Delicious food and fun drinks, we were pleasantly surprised! We got one of the salads with goddess sauce, lamb meatballs (delicious and hot pita), and ended with the sweet and savory burger which was 👌🏼 excellent. Good homemade ranch dressing that we asked for with the fries. My drink was the Bethany which was topped with Prosecco and was great. My fiancé got the monk which he enjoyed. All in all will definitely be back.

Service was good but none of us thought the food was anything to write home about.

I meant for other people for lunch. We all enjoyed our lunch my biggest challenge is they had a very very limited selection if you are gluten-free and dairy-free. The service was impeccable!

There really wasn't a lot that jumped out at me. The menu is fine, goat cheese curds (just chunks of goat cheeses in oil) and pizza and salads with beets, etc.
The brass/gold decor and modernized vintage look just isn't my jam. It's clean and inviting and not too noisy even while mildly busy.
I've only been once so I can't judge too well or harshly as the experience was meh, but the most disappointing aspect was certainly the service.
I won't go into too many details but an example, "So I see two Wren house handles over there, which beers are those?"
Our server was picking at chocolate or beans or something on her shirt and looked up, almost startled that I asked a question, and said "What?"
I repeated myself, then she pointed at the beers on the menu, I said they're not listed but that some kind of rotating local option was, and she said oh. Then she asked if I wanted her to go check what they were.
Of course I do, I think, but I reply with a chipper smile and a "that'd be awesome".
So she goes to the kitchen for five minutes before coming back out and asking the bartender and then telling me that only ONE of those beers is a rotating tap and that the other one is spellbinder.
I didn't see the need to correct my thinking that they were BOTH rotating since NEITHER was listed on the menu, my bad.
Anyways, the rest of the evening was pretty much the same.
Decent spot, easy to get in to and an easy way to show a date you'll drop $90 for the two of you, but otherwise there's zero craving to repeat the experience.

Waited 45 min for a pizza and a burger then was told ticket was lost. Could see the pizza sitting on the counter for 20 min. When the meal finally did arrive, the burger was way over cooked- ordered medium and it was well done. Really need some training. 4 people in the kitchen but they struggled to get any orders out. One guy that paced and occasionally brought food out seemed really underutilized— the thin service staff could have used some help. Anyway I really liked this place as the Vig, not sure when it changed, but hope it can improve as it does have a cool mid century vibe- building and interior are great.

Friendly staff foods good I like sitting at the bar people watching. Cool architecture I think it used to be a bank not sure. Love the indoor outdoor seating and vibe

Sadly, not a great experience. We were seated and waiting for water for close to 15 minutes. The restaurant was not terribly busy in there seemed to be enough staff to take care of each table. Food was fine but overpriced. We had to ask several times for things we’d already asked for and the steak that was ordered as medium came out well done. Bummed that the experience wasn’t better. No current plans to go back.

Great atmosphere, good service, good food and reasonable prices. This was some of the best salsa I’ve had. The shoestring fries were great as well.

Great service, slow, but good folks. Food was good. Parking challenging

This review does not reflect the incredibly hard working and friendly staff of The Genuine. The reason I had to rate so low was due to the disgustingly disrespectful owner/manager Caesar. The way he treats his staff is like he sees them as garbage. I heard how he was speaking to the hostess’ with the nastiest tone and treated them like they were his slaves. Then he paraded around the restaurant like he was the greatest person ever. It makes you feel terrible for the staff because they are the nicest people on the planet and were working incredibly hard. Due to Cesar and his absolutely appalling behavior towards his team I will happily take my business elsewhere. It’s really unfortunate as the food and service is unparalleled, however he really put a terrible taste in my mouth and made me feel sympathetic for his team that they have to put up with someone who acts worse than a toddler.
