The Crown Railroad Café

Came here as my partner wanted a trip down memory lane- he'd been here years ago.
It's very dated, but looks like they're doing their best to keep it clean.
Waiter was super friendly and helpful.
Simple menu, meals were great.
Convenient location and easy parking = great place to stop for a bite to eat 😊

There's very few restaurants open in the town of Flagstaff, near where we were staying, past 8pm. We picked The Crown Railroad Cafe because it was open till 9.

We were skeptical at first, being a Saturday night and walking into the almost empty restaurant, but the good reviews gave us hope.

Turns out the reviews are spot on! The lunch counter gives it a nostalgic, old time diner feel, with a vintage electric train running around the top perimeter of the restaurant.

I ordered the southern bbq sandwich which was delicious! Awesome fries, too.

One of my friends had the cheese burger, the other ordered the french dip. Everyone was beyond happy with their choices.

The waitress was happy to see us, even though we arrived near closing time.

Trust the reviews! The place doesn't look like much upon first glance, but its a winner!

Had a good experience here. We had came in about noon really wanting some good breakfast and we got it! Starting off was a little strange we had walked in and the whole restaurant including the staff stared at us which was a little off putting. But when we were finally seated we got our waiter Dustin and he was the BEST! He explained everything well, knew the whole menu and make us laugh pretty hard! The food was good I had gotten an omelet and it needed some salt and pepper but was really good. We all enjoyed our food the portions were Huge so that was good considering the price.

This was a wonderful experience. Our waitress was awesome. All of the food was very good.

If you're some picky mainstreamer this is probably not for you. But if you're looking for classic Americana this is the place for you. I would eat here every morning if I lived here.

Be aware of the biscuits and gravy! There huge!!!!!! This place is great! The breakfast potatoes are good pancakes yup, and The 2 servers Anita and Alyssa were a great duo. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen service like that thank you.

This is a must stop, service is above 5 starts and the food is outstanding. We only come in town a few times a year, and I am always happy to support the local community and small businesses. If there is a wait, just know it's worth the wait.

We checked out The Crown Railroad Cafe' in flagstaff Az. The Business is old fashioned, But,the food is hardy and delicious,that I like 😉👍, Now days you get sm.amout for big Price. This place has cute toy train goes round the restuarant,above your head. The waitress Mindi is nice,sociable. I'm definitely returning. I reconed y'all come check this place out.

We enjoyed this fun and unique restaurant on route 66. The little train running around the ceiling is exciting for the kids. My pancakes were pretty standard diner fare, but the french toast was amazing as was the breakfast meats. The staff was all very nice, but service was a little slow. We would definitely go back!

Had breakfast and dinner here. It was good homestyle food. I'd eat here again.

Honestly, it was fine. Nothing outstanding, but not bad either. Took a while to be sat and order taken. Part of what your paying for on the menu price is the route 66/train gimmick which is nice if that's your thing. The bottomless coffee and country fried steak was good. I probably wouldn't go again, but I gave it a try at least once. Just not enough quality in either food or service for the price in my personal opinion.
