Valley Hotel & 24/7 Open Café

You go here for the company. The food is comfortably normal, so if you're looking for fancy then try elsewhere. It's always clean, and the wait staff is attentive and polite. But the real charm of the place is the history. It's a small-town watering hole, and a great place to people-watch.
Try the cinnamon rolls.

Slow service. Screaming kids waiting for food. Food was cooked well. Bisquits and gravy tasted like from a can and had way too much pepper. Croissant turkey and cranberry was good. I felt like i was overly generous with my tip because the waitress never checked if we needed anything except once and only because she was clearing a table and said it like she really did not want an answer.

I can't speak to the quality of the rooms, but I have eaten at the cafe and had take away from there. If you go in and sit down to eat, the food and portion sizes are great. However, I was sick and called in a to-go order of simply pancakes that someone picked up for me and they were small (half the size of their usual ones) and half the batch was burnt -- it looked like a blowtorch had been taken to one side. $18 for inedible pancakes? No no. The same effort should go into any to-go food as goes into dine-in food. I doubt I'll go back, there are other more reliable options available in Palmer.

If you want to wait more than an hour after you order your food this is the place. Waitress stopped by once during that time. Ended up leaving when we asked another server when we would get our food and she said 35 to 40 minutes and our order was placed 35 minutes ago when it was actually an hour ago. Someone forget to put our ticket up? Will definitely not he back and for that amount of time just go to the store buy it and go home and cook it yourself it will be better and faster.

They are reliable, good food every time and they are the only place open 24 hours A-day that isn't fast food in Palmer. They put up with my stepdaughter and her loudness, my taking FOREVER to order and the food isn't usually burnt. I like their range of things on the menu too!

Staff very friendly. Missed a microwave to heat our leftovers or make coffee in the room. Beds were comfortable. The management supplied me with a shower chair. Thank you all. Food in cafe very good.

Nice little dirty spoon diner that has great food. Very eclectic menu with lots of options. Took me a while to narrow it down. My guess is there is really no wrong selection. Staff was attentive. Place was clean.

Only 24 hour sit-down restaurant in the valley! Not bad either! I stayed at the hotel only once when a pipe burst. Nice room, thin walls...but what would one expect in a historic building. I'd give them 5 starts, but they flip through the servers like they're tossing out old Rolodex cards. d8-| EDIT: Added a star, they went well above and beyond by rehiring a sobriety recovered server. That's awesome! The world needs more employers to give people the extra chances they need. Most would never even consider that. d:-)

The food was excellent prepared perfectly The wait time was a little longer than usual but I understand since there was so many people in there the wait staff has excellent manners and are prompt Sarah is the nicest person I've ever met!

Service is decent. Food is good. I love their corn fritters. You can go here with your midnight cravings or stop for a bite after getting back late from a trip. Lots of space and can accommodate groups :)
