The best food I have ever experienced.. Delectable. Fresh. Mouth watering. Cozy, warm surroundings. I wish that the welcoming and personable owners would open a restaurant in Boston. Love, love, love the New York Cafe. Thank you, Diane, who operates the Taste of Ketchikan tour for taking me there.
Went there for breakfast (breakfast hash). Locally owned, cosy place with arts by local artists on the wall. I find people in Ketchikan very nice, and the server here was no exception. Tried their breakfast hash with coffee. The price could be on a high end, but it' worth it.
Elizabeth, Raffy, snd the New York Chef and crew helped make our OceansAlaska guests feel welcome. We appreciate the wonderful dinner, breakfasts and beverages that you served us! We are so lucky and thankful for delicious food and support!
Flavors of Arab cuisine spice up this lovely cafe. The food is warm and comforting. Excellent service. I highly recommend a stop here to break up the more similar restaurants.
The staff, the food, the drinks, the view!! and the friday music nights...this is a special little place in Ketchikan. The environment is warm & welcoming, and I love all the variety they have on their menu! Great vegetarian and vegan options.
We stop here every time we are in town. We love the breakfast foods..bagels with salmon, the coffee, etc. AND you can get a flight of beer any time! We have had breakfast beers and lunch beers here! The servers are always super friendly and there's free wifi! Stop in if you need a good meal at a reasonable price!
This was an interesting experience. As a tourist to Ketchikan, Alaska; we certainly were interested in fresh seafood. We walked almost three miles from the port of Ketchikan to eat here, as a local recommended it. The menu was not what we expected. The food was, for my tastes, overly eclectic. When the norm would have been sufficient, they added ingredients which I would not be interested in. Maybe another individual would have been although I was not. They did not offer seafood but they did have a variety of salads. The tables are freestanding and the cafe was packed. The volume would be considered loud. At midday, they were very very busy. We decided to leave - due to the menu. We explained why, and they were understanding, concerned, and desired feedback. They were highly receptive to constructive criticism.
Great food, Bouillabaisse has miles of depth made with Alaska seafood. Great staff that know the food and beer menu well. The Arroz con pollo was not outstanding, but not bad. The live music was really nice, appropriate for setting.
