The grind is a place not even Stormtroopers can miss!

Had the absolute best cup of coffee at the grind on Labor Day 2022. We decide to drive through the town of Girdwood, and I couldn't resist a cup of coffee from this quaint little shop. They have some baked goods, snacks, and souvenirs inside the store, and they offer all of the usual coffee drinks. I always say that the taste of a black cup of coffee will tell you how good the rest of the coffee drinks are, and this was, by far, the best coffee I've had while traveling! Not far off of Alaska 1, it's well worth the stop.

After working out early in the Alyeska gym and pool we were looking for a local restaurant for breakfast. Finding one on a Wednesday proved a challenge his mid winter day. Fortunately, The Grind was open๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

The Grind proved to be a warm, laidback, friendly local roaster/coffee shop that, fortunately, open at 7am every morning. They sever a varied of tasty waffles and have bagels & muffins you can toast up. Their coffee is excellent.

We went here twice while in town. Coffee and latte were both very good. We also bought some of their light roast to brew at home and it was very good.

If you like a janky coffee shop, this is your place. The ordering area is a mish mash of different things, the eating area outdoors has janky chairs and tables. Even the chimney is janky. There is chill music playing. There is a sign that says you must wear a mask to order, but no customers did, and service was friendly.

We had a medium roast brewed coffee, and it was decently good.

Loved this place. The barista was super friendly, coffee was decent, and the decor was nerdy which was great. Toast your own bagel gave it a very personal feel.

If you want a taste of local life in Girdwood, The Grind is the spot to check out. Great coffee and the interior is full of local flare and products with geek culture thrown in. They roast coffee here and the coffee is amazing. I didn't try them, but they're known for having tasty waffles. Definitely a place to try while you're in Girdwood.

Good cold brew, excellent waffles, and wonderful staff.

Great coffee and food! The atmosphere was so much fun!! The shop reminded me of a cozy rec room.

We were out camping, but needed some power and a space to work remotely. The barista was very nice, letting us sit and work for awhile. While also supplying us with lots of coffee.

Great coffee shop. Friendly service, good coffe and very cool atmosphere with some merch, Star Wars and Star Trek decorations.

Robert Bredlie

Great coffee that they roast themselves, friendly people and a really cool dining area.
